Re: Avengers: Endgame (spoilers)

So, I agree with the above points, Scru/redadmin. At the end, when he walked up to Ned, I was like "ok so Ned got dusted too". And then I remembered that in the Far From Home trailer, all of Peter's classmates from Homecoming seem to be there and looking the same - so they all got dusted and returne...

Took me awhile to find my last entry. Icheckmovies tells me I'm now at 253/539, I've obviously missed some updates.

Re: Actors Who Actually Exist in Their Movies

A fun avoidance of one. Alan Tudyk, put together a web series, Con Man , about an actor, Wray Nerely, who was on a highly popular sci-fi show as a spaceship pilot, which was cancelled after half a season. Except Firefly and Serenity do exist in this world - Sean Maher shows up as himself. Although s...

Re: Making a Murderer - Here be spoilers!!!

So, I haven't finished watching (unreliable Internet means I'm rarely able to get through a show on Netflix), but I'm a couple episodes in. Relevant news, though - Dassey just won his appeal. Although, it's still pretty crazy to me - the court did not accept that his lawyer had a conflict of interes...

Add Deadpool to the group. We both see a Ryan Reynolds People cover, and Wade has a line about how looks count, 'as Ryan Reynolds didn't get where he is on acting talent', or something to that effect.

Re: Oscars Best Picture Nominees: How many have you seen?

According to icheckmovies, I'm now at 244/530 with this year's crop. And I thought Oscar month was on AMC, not TCM. Bad news, since I only get the former. I recall AMC being much more like TCM when it first started. I mean I currently show Live Free or Die Hard airing on AMC. Not sure I'd go so far...

Re: The Race for Gold 2016

The Revenant is my second for the year. But I realized I'll never be in this to win it, were that possible. The last two nights, I've had access to a movie theater, but I won't again for quite some time. My options were The Revenant, Dirty Grandpa and Ride-Along 2 . I could only bring myself to see...

Oh, I should also add that when I meet him (at Ebertfest, with Nunis, Sugarpuss O'Shea and AlottaFagina), he was lovely, gracious, and very patient with the group of fans who waited for him at the stage door.

Sad, indeed. I said this on Facebook, but it's even more relevant here - one of the reasons he was meaningful to me is because I feel like one of my first real entry points into FW was a post I made about him, which lead to discussion with Nunis, which sucked me right into the rabbit hole of this si...

Re: Star Wars: The Force Awakens (spoilers!)

I am in the like but not love camp. As we were clearly nearing the end of the movie, my main thought was "Is this it?" Critiques: - Some of the relationships felt a little forced - one journey on the Falcon and Rey and Han have a daddy/daughter relationship already? I didn't feel all that onboard wi...

2016 Master Post 1 January 2016 - The Big Short Oooh is that good? Been looking forward to that for ages I really enjoyed it. Found my next book. Being from UK for us it was never really a classic but finally reading To Kill a Mocking Bird. Don't judge me! (Amazing book so far can't believe I never read) I'm sure there is a classic UK book they teach in school there that we haven't read. The only reason some of us read To...

In a slightly different vein, Ant-Man. One of the few times I thought partway through the movie "man, they really did just put all the best bits in the trailer and don't have much else". And therefore I saw all the funny moments coming. With one exception
