Re: The Book Thread (aka "what are you reading?")

Had never heard of it until just now, but it sounds right up my alley. Thanks! The first one is now on my kindle, and as of Tuesday, I will have a few weeks of free time to read. I'm admittedly curious to see what you think. I've not been able to get anyone else to read them. I could barely put the...

Thanks, Tash!
I only needed to make it to #2 to make it worth my while.

They have circulated for a while. I believe they were part of some project, but it wasn't high schoolers, but rather professional comedians. I forget the context.

Re: Movie Thoughts, as you're watching

Here Comes Mr. Jordan 1941......although I do find this original very enjoyable, I'm feeling the remake might be slightly better (comically anyway). Heaven Can Wait is one of my favorite visit-to-theater memories ever. Maybe it was just time/place and I'm sure it would lessen upon repeat viewings -...

Maybe I should come in this thread from time to time. I know who that is. That's Cynthia Watros from Lost, although not a very good picture of her.

Benedict Cumberbatch as the voice of Alan Rickman as Snape on The Simpsons. Lasted all of four seconds, but what do I care?

We watched this last night. Movie essentially wrapped up our 2012, ending at ten minutes to midnight.

And I agree wholly with A². What a complete piece of crap, an unholy mess of plot and character and just boooooring. Good grief that blew.

I've no idea. I didn't even know I had five stars. I haven't cleaned up any graffiti in weeks either. I have two brown houses and two KwikEMarts but apart from that, I haven't done anything special.

Sitting on a dock in Panama City, waiting for the provision truck to arrive. It is over two hours late. And when they asked me to take the skiff in, I didn't know what it was for so I didn't grab a book. Or a wallet so I can buy a nice cold drink. It's stinking hot. You, my dear, don't have the rig...

Two of the balloons were never available for cash for me, or I'd have bought them.

On another note, does anyone else keep getting these same bullshit quests for Grampa and Cletus? How many times do I have to send Grampa to tell stories on the couch before he finally just dies, anyway?

Yeah possibly. I thought earlier that they might have been related but I suppose that is also a possibility.

Either way, I'd hit that.
