Re: The Book Thread (aka "what are you reading?")

http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/P/044619929X.jpg wasn't as interesting a read as I hoped... More of a memoir about this guy's son's girl troubles instead of the films they watched... Disappointing Picked this one up after I saw your post. I liked it, but I didn't have any expectations about gai...

Another alternative for checking off movies. This is by far the best one yet. http://www.icheckmovies.com/ Not only can you check off the IMDb Top 250, but literally dozens of other lists as well, and then badges like those in my signature can be put on forums and websites. Sunshine :3.5stars: A bunch of scientists is on a mission to re-ignite the sun with a massive bomb. How good could this be? However, I wanted to see it as I loved the Boyle-Garland cooperation in The Beach. The music is definitely typical to a Danny Boyle movie and I like it. The movie is claustrop...

Metallica: some kind of monster :2.5stars: Very interesting to watch after having seen 'Anvil'. These guys are like polar opposites. I feel less sympathy for Ulrich, Hetfield than I did for the 'underdogs' of Anvil. Kind of interesting how the closing scenes in both movies are the same and yet comp...

Re: The Last Three Movies You've Watched

Has everyone stopped watching films? This is the first thread I look at, and when there's been no activity it just doesn't motivate me to post my own reviews or to go and look elsewhere on the site. In the last fortnight about half a dozen films have been discussed here. It's pretty depressing, whe...
