Re: American Gods

I think mainly because we've been promised this for SO many years, no one dares get their hopes up. A HBO mini-series would be my dream. American Gods is my all-time favourite book and they better do it justice, or it's pointless. If it is happening, and they do it right, then I'm ecstatic. I just d...

Louie was one of those shows that flew under the radar for me. I read a review for season 3 last week or so and decided to check it out. And I just don't know why there weren't more buzz about it, because it's freakin' hilarious.

Re: The Last Three Movies You've Watched

Well for that, you're probably better off (re)watching the episode of White Collar that Manganiello guest starred on. Well, except the clothes off part. So it just depends on how important that aspect is to you. So true, almost forgot about that. Turns out the clothes-off aspect is much less import...

Magic Mike :3.5stars: I was never going to be a harsh critic on this one, but I had a lot of fun. Saw it in a packed theater with 6 girl friends, and all sorts of audience hooting and hollering. Pretty much had a perma smile on my face, and now bruises on my arm from where my friend and I kept smac...

Re: Index to TV Show Threads / General TV Chit Chat

Yeah, either Justin is really really boring or just flying under the radar. Brian is hilarious, and yet, I actually can see him winning. Him or Christina. Tiffany is disgusting , I'm amazed her hygiene haven't sent her home yet. Royce is no doubt a douche, but I think that adds to the entertainment...

Re: Index to TV Show Threads / General TV Chit Chat

Is anybody here watching this season of Hell's Kitchen ? There's more drama than cooking, but pretty amusing nevertheless. I'm a big Gordon Ramsay groupie, been watching HK and Masterchef since they started. I agree that this season of HK is sub-par, but my favourites are Brian and Christina. Justi...

Re: Random thing that made you laugh

Oh, speaking of Futurama, I hadn't realised it was back (no one told me?) but caught up the other day. The show isn't really all that funny any more, but this opening title card from the first episode literally made me lol. Nerd humour.

It's easy to guess those because of Hardy's mouth. They are both gorgeous though (except for that last picture of Hardy, what's going on there?)

I wasn't gonna contribute to this thread because, meh, there are too many generic pretty people here that I've never heard of. But now I want to put a vote in for Christina Hendricks, because, like, hot damn hell yes I would.

Re: Random thing that made you happy

Here in Iowa, the preeminent grocery store chain, HyVee, cards everyone, every time, regardless of your appearance--you have to fork over your DL so they can scan it. I'm so used to it that the last time I was visiting my Dad in CT, I immediately handed over my DL at the liquor store and the clerk ...

I bought that film on eBay, although not for Mr Owen. However, I will admit that yes, it's a treat to see him nekkid.

And it's a totally yucky film.

Re: Random thing that made you happy

Got carded at the liquor store again. Happens every time. These days I take it as a compliment.

"Can I see some ID, please?"
"With pleasure."
*looks* "Oh."
"Don't worry, it's been happening every time for the past twelve years."
"You look really young."
"19? Really?"
"Well, yeah."
"Thanks! :) "

Do you have a link? The only Audible my cursory searching turns up is Audible.com, the books-on-tape ... errr ... -on-computer site.
That's because I'm an idiot. I meant Audacity. Excellent free audio suite.

I've been thinking about starting it soon - I've watched most of the other stuff on my DVR, and don't have that many summer shows coming up that I care about. Me too. I haven't started season 2 either, but I've been saving all the episodes. And now that I've caught up on everything else, and finish...
