I know its not the same thing, but how about movie franchises that exist within themselves? In a scene in Halloween 3, there's a tv ad for an upcoming showing of the original Halloween.

In Baywatch, Dwayne Johnson regularly refers to Zac Efron's character by terms other than his fictional name. One of these nicknames he uses is "High School Musical". This is the only implicit reference that Zac Efron exists in the Baywatch universe. Does this count?

it's not clear to me that Zac Efron is being referenced in Baywatch—after all, maybe Sylvester Stallone stars in High School musical within in the Baywatch universe:

either way, the Baywatch/High School Musical is certainly an interesting instance

Then that was about the only interesting thing in Baywatch.

I have not seen it... but... I am assuming there were slow motion bouncing boobs. So... you're point is invalid.

Ryan Reynolds in Deadpool 2. I don’t really need to list the justification, do I?

I haven't seen the movie, but assuming Ryan Reynolds is referenced in Deadpool 2, this seems legit (and unsurprising to boot).

(I mean, I'm pretty sure that Ryan Reynolds plays Deadpool (AKA Wade Wilson) in Deadpool 2 and that Ryan Reynolds is not actually Deadpool (AKA Wade Wilson).)

If you don’t mind the spoiler:
Spoiler
The best reference isn’t Deadpool signing his autograph on a cereal box as “Ryan Reynolds”, it’s Deaadpool shooting Ryan Reynolds in the head to prevent the production of Green Lantern.
