Okay, this thread is for movies that would be improved if one of the actors in it swapped their character from another movie, series, etc.

For example:

Footloose where John Lithgow swaps his character of stuck up Rev. Shaw Moore with his character from Dexter, Arthur Mitchell, AKA the Trinity Killer.

Just imagine the teenagers in the town rebelling by wanting to dance and then they start to show up dead in one of three different ways. I'm thinking Kevin Bacon would be bludgeoned to death with a hammer.

Sean Penn is way too serious, remember when he was a fun guy, remember when he was Jeff Spicoli

Oh how Jeff would have lightened the mood in Dead Man Walking... although Fast Times at Ridgmont High would have had more of an edge... so that is my character swap:

I say Tom Hanks in Bachelor Party would have made things a lot easier on those guys in Private Ryan. And Debbie wouldn't have had a thing to worry about!

It's time for spice, and the lucky spice is... paprika! "Oh thank you, thank you! You've made me the happiest spice in the world!"

Pictures to follow, eventually, but the Tom Hanks swap made me think of Meg Ryan movies...

I think the crazy of Meg Ryan in Addicted to Love would play much better as reciprocated affection toward the "terminal" Hanks in Joe vs. the Volcano...
...and the four sisters in JvtV, all played by Meg Ryan, would work quite well as multiple personalities of the single crazy character in Addicted to Love.

Ok, I've been thinking about this very carefully, and I would like every single "straight" Billy Bob Thornton role, from U.S. President in Love, Actually to Davy Crockett in The Alamo to his D.A. in The Judge to his Morris Buttermaker in The Bad News Bears, all of them, replaced with Karl Childers from Sling Blade.

Nice one. Although, he sort of is, isn't he?

oooh, so Batman would be swapping business cards and dancing to hip to be square... I'd buy a ticket for that

Batman's true motivation for vengeance? Joker has a better watermark.
