What do people see in Verbinski?

Ok...so I haven't seen Pirates, but I switched off "the mexican", the ring was an inferior remake and the rest of his stuff doesn't exactly make me want to rush out to the video store.

Compared to Luhrmann...ok, there was Moulin Rouge, but Strictly Ballroom was a very well made movie (not withstanding Paul Mecurio's acting ability) and Romeo & Juliet was great!!

I've seen five of their movies. I liked Pirates, I liked The Ring (but Ringu was better), and I liked Moulin Rouge. Didn't really care for Romeo + Juliet or The Mexican. 2-1 beats 1-1.

I judged it based on the only movies I have seen by either guy.

I liked "Pirates" ok, but I couldn't even make it through "Moulin Rouge."

The theater of noise is proof of our potential. The circulation of autotypes. The golden talisman underfoot is phenomenon approaching. And, in the history of now, all ethos are designed.

You see, Hopsi, you don't know very much about girls. The best ones aren't as good as you probably think they are and the bad ones aren't as bad. Not nearly as bad.
