Stay for the Credits

All movie talk goes in here, whether it's a raving review or a ranting tirade. Basically, anything about movies.

Free Solo (29 Sep 18) V-1
Different images of El Capitan with pitches superimposed accompany the first section of credits. Nothing else happens once the credits start to roll
If you wake up at a different time in a different place could you wake up as a different person?

Christopher Robin (3 Aug 18) VU-1
Mid-credits there is an inset extra scene of all the Winslow employees doing nothing at the beach while Richard Sherman (the composer, not the cornerback) sings & plays "Busy Doing Nothing"

The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part (US: 08 Feb 2019; UK: 08 Feb 2019) VA1

The initial run of credits is accompanied by a minimalist version of the characters and sets and the closing theme which mentions several of the crew members by name as their credits are shown. It's pretty clever. After the initial run, the remaining credits are drawn onto Lego backboards, but there's nothing fancy going on.
Robin: "Gosh, Batman, is there anything you don't know?"
Batman: "Oh yes, Robin. Several things, in fact."

Captain Marvel is pretty standard Marvel credits. There is an End Game tie in after a few minutes and then a silly scene at the very end.

Avengers: Endgame (26 Apr 2019) V1

Pretty visuals for each of the "big name" actors that appeared in the film culminating in some truly epic visuals for the OG Avengers. Once this is done, there are no more visuals or scenes. However...
Spoiler
If you do stay through the end of the credits, you will hear the sound of Tony Stark hammering his original Iron Man suit that he made in the cave as the Marvel Studios logo comes back up. If I remember correctly it's just two hammer strikes. Signaling a farewell for our first Avenger.

Toy Story 4 (21 Jun 19) VFUTE
The beginning of the credits has four(?) separate scenes in between names on slightly animated backgrounds
Spoiler
First scene shows Woody, Bo, and the rest of his new gang of "lost" toys at the carnival's next stop. Ducky & Bunny ask some frogs if they want help getting a kid & then hide in the game and push down the target when someone shoots (badly). When the targets get knocked down, someone throws the frogs up onto the counter while the carnie just listens to his headphones. Later, the entire gang works together to hand out all the prizes to kids as they line up and shoot anywhere but the targets, all with the carnie oblivious to it all. When there's nothing more to do, Ducky & Bunny describe a new plan on what to do next, involving laser-eyes and Godzilla-like smashing. In reality, the toys decide to go help other toys at other games. Back in Bonnie's bedroom, we see Jessie hid away in the backpack for Bonnie's first day of first grade. And it seems 6-year-old Bonnie was just as good as MAKING a new friend as 5-y-o Bonnie was. A plastic knife in a dress comes out and she and Forky have an awkward (but funny) conversation.
After these scenes, the rest of the credits roll just names on black until the very end which features two title cards memorializing Don Rickles and Adam Burke who died in 2017 & 2018, respectively. The very end of the movie features the Pixar logo
Spoiler
with Duke Kaboom in Luxo Jr.'s place. He does his stunts, jumping up and smashing down on the I. Then the Snow Combat Carl comes out with hand raised, and Duke gives him his long-awaited high five.
If you wake up at a different time in a different place could you wake up as a different person?

Spiderman: Far From Home has one extra scene in the middle of the credits and another at the very end. I can't even remember what happens in the first one.
Spoiler
The second one is kind of silly and I guess funny but I hated its ramifications on the film. Maria Hill and Nick Fury are revealed to be Skrulls in disguise while the real Hill and Fury are on a mission in space. I hate the way this revelation changes every interaction Fury had through the course of the film. He had some fun conversations and actions and none of it was real.

First extra scene -
Spoiler
Peter questions May and Happy about their relationship, then runs off for a date with MJ. They both go swinging through the city and when it ends and Peter is about to leave, on a Jumbo-Tron news footage is shown blaming Spider-Man for all the destructive events which I'll assume is what William Riva was downloading when Mysterio is dying - and we get JK Simmons reprising his role as J Jonah Jameson
