The Last Three Movies You've Watched

All movie talk goes in here, whether it's a raving review or a ranting tirade. Basically, anything about movies.

Halloween 2 :1star: I thought Rob Zombie would have learnt and made something half decent... it's actually worse. There is one funny joke about sleeping with corpses, but that hardly makes up for it

GI Joe :1star: Maybe I'm getting old, but it's just a big messy too much happening film. Why can't they sit down and have a nice cup of tea every now and again

Waxwork :3stars: Yeah, the remake, but actually not that bad, especially since recently I re-watchd the Zach Gallagher classic Waxworks, which I own as I saw it when I was younger and it rocked... anyway, House of Wax may be poor, but has enough neat little bits (Paris Hiltons death) to give it an average rating

Cos they're not all British?

I quite liked GI Joe when I saw it in the cinema, but watched it last night and I liked it way less. Think Sienna Miller just irritated me for some reason.
Statler: Well, how do you like the film?
Waldorf: I've seen detergents leave a better film than this.

Predators :2stars: Starts promisingly, then frizzles out and descends into pointless sillyness. Brody buffed up (it may have been just a body double) is utterly ridiculous.

Get him to the Greek :2.5stars: Genuinely funny at times, but I still didn't really like it.

Frozen :1star: Pile of festering turd. Watched most of it on fast forward.

Twin Peaks Series 2 :4.5stars: Excellent. Hideously funny.

Saw 3D :2stars: This had a couple of decent traps but it felt like they were just going through the motions. This series has had some decent moments but it also went on for about 4 movies too long. Saw is like the uncle who you're glad to have come stay with you. He brings you presents and tells funny stories. Then he overstays his welcome and by the 4th or 5th time he stinks you out of the bathroom you can't wait until he goes away.

The Puffy Chair :2.5stars: Maybe it's partly because I have started enjoying The League, but I'm warming up to the Duplas style.

The Quick and the Dead :0.5star: Finally a Gene Hackman western I can love. Just kidding, Humphrey. One a serious note, does this movie have the worst cast talent/shitty product ratio of all time? I think this merits enough discussion to justify its own thread.
The :) means it's all ok.

(OK first things first, TQATD isn't THAT bad. It looks great, and its just a bit of fun... not the deepest film ever but theres a lot worse)

Se7en :4.5stars: This was on Channel5 last night, started watching, then got out the old DVD. What a film. The script, the banter, the look, close to perfection. Brad Pitt is awesome and it's just a great great film.

The Ugly Truth :2stars: Gerard Butler was great in this, until about 20 minutes in when it turned to every other piece of trash out there.

Jennifer's Body :2stars: Another Meh, I'm watching a lot of Meh. There's too much meh on, nothing that grabs me by the balls lately

Elephant :4stars: So I stayed up all night watching E!, some special on kid killers, and decided to watch Elephant, man thats one bleak film. Some of the acting is awful, but I love how it's 'real' any character could die, there is pointless backstory as there are no heros.. just makes you think, but I'm in my Gus phase lately
