GAME (audio): Aural Pleasure

#1 Post by Nunis » 11 May 2003, 05:08

Aural Pleasure

I was extremely bored yesterday, so I decided to come up with a new game.

Rules
* There are 20 sound clips, taken from various movie scores
* 2 clips will be posted each day
* Rounds will last 24 hours, run only on weekdays, for 2 weeks
* You get 3 guesses per clip
* Guesses to be sent via PM
* I will tell you whether you're right or wrong, and also remind you before the deadline
* Deadline for each round will be around 11pm GMT (or BST, or whatever time zone I am currently in)

Comments
* Files are MP3, all are 30 seconds long
* To the best of my knowledge, none of these have been used in snotball's audio games
* Difficulty level should be about the same as snotty's logos game
* Links to clips and leaderboard will be kept in the next post

Lionel Hutz, aka Miguel Sanchez, aka Dr. Nguyen van Thoc, was paid $8 for his 32 hours of babysitting.

He was glad to get it.

You can't play mp3 files? If you're on a slow connection, it's best if you save the files to your disk and play them from there.

I am 95% certain they're not. If you want, I can tell you in advance where all my clips are from, but then you couldn't play. I have listened to your clips though and I only recognise one, and I definitely don't have that one in my game. The other 9 in your game, I don't recognise at all, so I really don't think so.

Alright, these two clips will be up until... whenever CSI is over later. Another 2 hours or so. If you didn't play, take a gander.

I thought #1 would be easy, but a surprisingly low 6 out of 16 have gotten it so far, so anything goes so far.

Alright kids, the results are up. A surprisingly low number of you recognised the theme from LOTR, a few more knew Harry Potter.

Two new clips are up for your taking!

So far, I've bascially just told this game to bend over and take it like a man, if you're into fairly disturbing mental images.

Frodo standing beside the river Sirion with the ring in his hand, remembering the words of Gandalf in Moria - one of my favorites on the soundtrack. Dammit... how did I miss this game, with it's provocative title and everything?

There must be a reason I didn't send in LOTR after I worked it out. But I can't think what it is :-? :x

I don't have a clue onh #4 but #3 might just push me over the edge.

It's annoying to be on the other side of your own evil sceme. Now I'll have to think of a new evil animated gif game.
