This is a prediction and pick'em game with winner determined in early February, 2018 by the actual US Domestic Box Office Gross totals as determined by boxofficemojo.com

To play, PM your entry to me by 1/26/17 11:59pm eastern time.

Step 1 - Pick one from each matchup in the 11 lines below (notice you could be picking two movies in the 10th and 11th matchups):

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 vs. Justice League
Beauty and the Beast vs. Despicable Me 3
War for the Planet of the Apes vs. Kong: Skull Island
It vs. The Dark Tower
Wonder Woman vs. Thor: Ragnarok
Coco vs. Cars 3
Alien: Covenant vs. Blade Runner 2049
Power Rangers vs. The Mummy
Transformers: The Last Knight vs. Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales
The Fate of the Furious vs. the combined total of Logan and Kingsman: The Golden Circle
Spider-Man: Homecoming vs. the combined total of The Lego Batman Movie and The Lego Ninjago Movie

Step 2 - Pick 5 more 2017 releases (release date 1/27/17 to 12/29/17) that are NOT named in Steps 1 or 3

Step 3 - Tiebreaker: Domestic Box Office Gross of Star Wars: Episode VIII

We'll use boxofficemojo.com's Domestic Box Office Total for each movie at the end of January 2018, so we count the box office receipts in January 2018 until boxofficemojo.com puts up the receipts for the week that includes January 25, 2018 in it.

Winners:
Overall Winner - Person with highest total box office of their 16 movies - Scruluce
Pick'Em Champ - Person with most number of top choices for Step 1 - Scruluce
Scout - Person with highest total box office of their 5 Step 2 movies - redamin
Marksman - Person whose Step 3 is closest to the actual gross - Ridilon

Ties in the first 3 categories will be broken by the tiebreaker (Step 3)

Remember, your Step 2 entries can't use any movie listed above. I'll post mine after the deadline, but before I open any PM's.

Sure, send them to me.

Also, if he wants an account, I can rename one of the ones that were never used and give it to him.

Step 2 news - World War Z 2 has been pushed back past our last weekend, which hurts justdrewit and Ridilon.

Friday the 13th has been pushed back too, but no new date has been announced. This could hurt figjam and nomega69. January seems like a possibility, but the next Friday the 13th date isn't until April 2018.

Step 1 Update
The Fate of the Furious vs. the combined total of Logan and Kingsman: The Golden Circle

The Fate of the Furious is struggling to catch up to Logan by itself, so Kingsman should put this one away. The only one of us to pick the combination was figjam.

Also, the $172M from The Boss Baby is giving redamin a huge lead for the Scout and Overall Winner totals.

If Justice League can beat Guardians, that will really help me. Two where I was on an island by myself coming through would be huge.
