Each entrant selects 13 people that are listed in IMDb with at least one movie credit (TV movies and straight-to-video are acceptable, mini-series do not count, unless IMDb lists them as a TV movie) as an Actor, Actress, Director, Himself, or Herself. That should make quite a few politicians, athletes and musicians available as well.

PM the list to me between now and Dec. 31, with Death Pool or something similar in the subject. I will not read these until 2018, and will then post everyone's entries. I'm entering too, but I won't look at yours before I've settled on mine. If you want to make changes before the deadline, please send a complete list, and I'll go by the last one I receive. If someone you've picked dies before 2017 ends, its your responsibility to make the change, or they'll remain in your list for no value.

Your score for each accurate guess will be 120 minus the age in full years of the deceased. If there's any conflict, I will go by the birth date listed at IMDb. If that isn't present for some reason, I'll try to find it elsewhere.

Deaths qualify as being in 2018 by whatever timezone the person dies in. This should only matter on January 1 and December 31.

Previous years: 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017

No such luck, he sent it a few hours ago.

I'll get them all posted in the morning.

I consider it a victory that I didn't select someone who was already dead (as I have several times before)

I wholeheartedly approve of Sheila's entry. Based on the last few years, all her entries will survive the year.

Yeah, half her list coincides with mine. And smithee's yang better stay in California. :balrog:

I thought Hugh Downs was already dead. I kinda want him and Barbara Walters to survive until the ball drop for NYE 2019, so they can look into the camera and say "This is 20-20"

5 of 13 overlap ... that's not terrible.

This isn't a question related to anyone on my list this year, so that probably makes it an ideal time to ask this question. I had cause to wonder if someone had an IMDB page that would make them eligible for this. In looking, this person (as herself) has two credits that are listed as TV Movie by IMDB, but both are awards shows. I wouldn't really consider an awards show to be the kind of "credit" we're thinking of in our definition [ "with at least one movie credit (TV movies and straight-to-video are acceptable, mini-series do not count, unless IMDb lists them as a TV movie) "] but that's how IMDB lists it.

One of the awards shows in question was the British Academy Television Awards. So just out of curiosity, I went to see how IMDB classifies the Emmys and as expected (and more appropriately, I think) they categorize that as a TV Special. Not sure why they categorize the Brits as a movie.

Thoughts?

It is strange how IMDb does it, but as far as being eligible here, that would do it.

I've also noticed things like Super Bowls listed as TV Movies, which is weird too.
