Movie Connections ver. 2.0

#1 Post by » 10 Dec 2003, 06:30

This was suggested by someone else a while back. I thought it was a good idea, but I've never seen anyone act on it so here goes.

This will work just like the old standard Movie Connections thread with a few augmentations of the rules.

1) There will now be a target movie. You can try to bring the connections closer to hitting that target or take it farther away from it, that's up to you whether you want to fight for the side of good or evil.

2) Always include the target movie in parenthesis. This will help everyone remember where we are headed.

3) If someone beats your connection go back and delete your post or if you're worried about your post count and are using this thread to beef it up at least go back and edit your post to note that you were beaten and that your connection is not the valid one.

4) Don't cheat unless the thread has been stalled out for at least 24 hours. It is exceptionally lame to use IMDB or any other internet site to find your connections. Just rely on your brains or find another game to play. It pisses everyone else off to see a bunch of movies in here that everyone knows you cheated to get. In fact- if I see a movie in here that gives me reason to believe you cheated I'll delete your damn post.

5) Don't use tv movies. Direct to video is ok.

Let's keep this version neat and tidy. If you want a sloppy game where you can cheat and mindlessly post keep it in the original thread.

Edit- If anyone else has any other rule suggestions to make this better I will throw them on here.
