I'm sure I'm the only person in the world who is actually looking forward to seeing Evan Almighty. And I'm quite sure I'll be disappointed.
Actually, I was kind of banking --Moguls-wise-- that the Passion freaks would turn out in droves. (They might have; I can't think of a decent secondary reason why it's garnered $100 M)
Maybe everyone who went to see it is harbouring a secret crush on Steve Carell.

(No? OK, just me then :s )
Statler: Well, how do you like the film?
Waldorf: I've seen detergents leave a better film than this.

You see, Hopsi, you don't know very much about girls. The best ones aren't as good as you probably think they are and the bad ones aren't as bad. Not nearly as bad.

If this movie didn't have Steve Carrell and Morgan Freeman (who rules), it wouldn't even be watchable. The plot was contrived, ridiculous, and not funny.

The Simpsons Movie :3stars:
You know, I was disappointed. Maybe I had heard too many rave reviews, but I didn't think this was much better than your average episode. It was just longer. It had some excellent gags, but they were few and far between (not to mention, most of them were in the trailer), and the lovable supporting characters -- Ralph, Mr Burns, Comic Book Guy -- were all sadly underused (Ralph does have one golden line though). And the Bart subplot felt unnecessary. Good, but... eh.

:3stars:, and only because Nunis likes the super annoying Shia LaBeouf.

Also, we should have started PMing our guesses about 2 rounds ago.

I hate it when they remake good movies just for the sake of getting younger people to see their new "hip" version. This movie annoyed me a lot. The cast was ok, and the suspense was decent in the second half. Too bad it took way too long to get there. Reasonably entertaining, but utterly pointless.

This movie surprised me; it wasn't what I was expecting. Much less time is spent on the bank job than on Levitt's character's medical condition. It handles this ably, and it never gets boring (at times, it takes itself a bit too seriously though). The final reel was really excellent. Joseph Gordon Levitt and Jeff Daniels were both very good.
