This movie was lame-o. It was predictable, insulting to the audience, and bland. And Tony Hopkins has never phoned in a movie like this before. Boo.

Wow, this sucked balls. The numerology mystery isn't so much a mystery as a mess, it's completely suspense-less and un-thrilling for a suspense thriller, and the writing is completely humourless (yet laughable). And the twist? Wow, talk about lame -- zero payoff. The actors are not bad (given what they had to work with), but ultimately, this is another Joel Schumacher crap-fest.

Where the people are so gay
Pissin' the lead away-ay

Here they have a lot of fun
Puttin' trouble on the run
Man, you find the old and young

Sorry, I forgot to send my rating to Jello. Yesterday morning he sent a PM to me reminding me, and I sent it along right away. For some reason I had thought the deadline was yesterday (Friday) instead of Tuesday. He has my rating now though.

Nunis wrote:The Host :4stars: On the surface, The Host seems like your standard bubblegum monster movie -- fun, cheesy, explosive -- but this movie is so much more. It's not only a great monster movie, it's also a very touching tale of family, loyalty, loss, grief, and more. I warmly recommend it. One of the best movies I've seen all year.

Shit. I expected a lot better. I did enjoy the celebrity cameos, but almost everything about this movie was disappointing. There's really no end to how annoying Jon Heder can be. Will Arnett was over-the-top. Isn't the point of a comedy to be funny? I laughed maybe twice. Boo.

It's easy to say now, but I probably would have abdicated my turn anyway, for End-of-the-Year reasons. In the last six rounds, ze lost just :1star: Beats me. Obviously.
