Is it just me, or does Mazer seem to be double posting? (I've seen two occasions now)

FWIW it has happened to me before. sometimes the page seems to stall out, or take extra long in showing the "message posted" screen. clicking on the submit button multiple times may generate a double post (in my experience). If I catch it, I can delete the second post. If I didn't catch it, i can leave it as is, or edit it.

Sorry. I caught one of them myself. I was trying to do a little Filmwising from my Blackberry yesterday, and was getting impatient for things to load. I've learned my lesson now, though!

Anyone else having the thing where it takes ages to post? I waited 5 mins this morning, trying to make this very post, then had to give up to go to work.

It's been slow for me as well. Not quite 5 minutes, but still, there's some lag time.

It's on fire right now, but yesterday at home it was interminably slow.

I'm noticing a huge difference between Filmwise on IE8 and Filmwise on Google Chrome. I think I'm switching to Chrome.

Everything's fine until you hit the 'Submit' button. Then you wait. The problem there is the server that's hosting the FW database can't keep up with the write load. Changing your browser won't help that.

There might be some database level optimizations but I would guess the ISP has cheaped out on hardware and has crammed on more sites than the server can effectively serve.

I know the browser shouldn't have anything to do with it, but all day I've only been able to access FW through Chrome. Mozilla won't let me in...chrome has no trouble at all.

Me too, usually. Today, Mozilla does not like FW in my world.

Sorry for the downtime, folks. There was an error in the database with two tables that had crashed, but they should be repaired now.

I'd have noticed sooner, but I spent the last few days in and out of the hospital with my son...

No idea what's up with the fallback site; I'm deleting it all now and will try to set something else up before the next FW meltdown.
