American Gods

"American Gods" (2013)

I was surprised nothing else had been written on this. Since it was his birthday today, I took a look at Tom Hanks's IMDb page and noticed he's a producer for a TV version of American Gods. For those hoping this would be made into a mini-series, it looks like you'll get your wish.

Also, it appears to be made for HBO, so it's got a good pedigree for a book adaptation (ala Game of Thrones) and it sounds as though Neil Gaiman will be doing the adaptation. Granted this is old news, but I didn't recall hearing anyone talk about it in here.
Robin: "Gosh, Batman, is there anything you don't know?"
Batman: "Oh yes, Robin. Several things, in fact."

I think mainly because we've been promised this for SO many years, no one dares get their hopes up.

A HBO mini-series would be my dream. American Gods is my all-time favourite book and they better do it justice, or it's pointless. If it is happening, and they do it right, then I'm ecstatic. I just don't dare hope just yet.

It's such a fine line between stupid and clever.
