I think I'll stick with Fringe for now, since "they" can't put Supernatural on at a time when it's viewable and some *swearword* cancelled Stargate Atlantis (aksully that'd gone down the pan and wasn't worth watching for the last two seasons anyways)

The head woman in Fringe just reminds me of E.T which freaks me out. the dad is one of the best characters in recent tv though so will carry on watching it.
I'd be happy to kill her, she called me a fish.

Oh see, now I like the show a lot. I think it's really funny and has all the crime drama stuff that I love too.

Anyone else enjoy The Observer in the audience of American Idol tonight? The problem was, only the few people that watch Fringe knew who he was. Not quite the ad for the show they were probably going for. But I laughed.

Fans of Fringe: You've known all along that those weird glyph images that precede commercials meant something. The producers have said that they mean something (see video below).

And now Julian Sanchez, a genius code-cracker at Ars Tecnica, has figured it out. (With a nod to colleague Erica Sadun.)

Son of a... I thought you were talking about missing the end of Idol. Fuck, I hate my DVR. It didn't start recording this again when it came back. What did I miss... two episodes?

Yeah, two episodes. FWIW, last week's was good. Last night's, not so much.

As with everything else on the Internet, there's no need, because there's always some other nerd who will do it for you.

Fox renews Fringe for a second season

Fox announced today that it has renewed the sci-fi thriller Fringe for a second season, with a full 22-episode order. Fringe, a mysterious X-Files-esque series featuring plenty of gruesome murders and tons of mythology, is the No. 1 new drama among adults 18-49 this season.

"Fringe proved to be a notable addition to our schedule all season and it really has fans buzzing as it builds to a fantastic season finale," said Fox's president of entertainment, Kevin Reilly. "J.J. and the whole Bad Robot team have been phenomenal partners, and we look forward to years of making great television with them."

Best scene all season.

Olivia: "What process?"
Grayson: "To create super soldiers."
Olivia: "Super soldiers?"
Grayson: "Yes. Like Khan Noonien Singh. To defend us in the coming war."
Olivia: "What war?"
Peter: "I'm sorry. The Khan?"
Grayson: "Yes."
Peter: "As in 'The Wrath of'?"
Grayson: "Yes."
Peter: "Let me guess. This war, it's against...?"
Grayson: "The Romulans, renegade Romulans. From the future. Here to change the timeline. The sworn enemy of The Federation."
Peter: "The Federation. That would be the United Federation of Planets?"
Grayson: "Yes."
Peter: "Hm. And you all know this because?"
Grayson: "I am the son of Sarek."
Peter: "Which makes you Spock."
Grayson: "Yes."
Peter: (Vulcan salute) "Well, Mr. Spock, thank you for your time. We'll let you get back to the bridge now."
Grayson: (Vulcan salute) "Live long and prosper."

Made it all so much better. The scene completely threw me, as well. Until he said Khan Noonien Singh, I thought he was on to something.

And of course, it's a nice tie-in to that other project that JJ Abrams has been working on.

Plus, I'm not sure if this is still a rumor or if this has been confirmed but the part of the so-far unseen William Bell will be played by:
