This is England '86

#1 Post by Dawson » 09 Sep 2010, 01:05

Taking place 4 years after Shane Meadows 'This Is England' this new 4 part series continues with the main characters from the original film and shows there progression. Don't know if anyone caught this but I loved it. Yeah sure in parts it did look very amatuer, but thats the look he normally goes for, and I'm excited to see the next 3 episodes

Damn! I missed that. Is episode 1 showing again anytime soon? What channel was it on? Film4?

Batman: "Oh yes, Robin. Several things, in fact."

I see that guy lived then, on another note I watched "dead mans shoes" a few weeks ago, paddy can sure act, pity about the rest of the crew on that film.

I saw them all. I enjoyed it. Not quite as much as the original film, but it was still pretty good.
Robin: "Gosh, Batman, is there anything you don't know?"
Batman: "Oh yes, Robin. Several things, in fact."

We really need to work on our updates.

Just watching This is England 90... damn this is some grim stuff. Absolutely brilliant TV, but oh so grim.

3 episodes then a feature length movie to finish it off
I'd be happy to kill her, she called me a fish.

I've only seen the first episode, but I've got episodes 2 and 3 on the Sky box. I'll try and catch up this week.

Batman: "Oh yes, Robin. Several things, in fact."

Yeah, I finished it the week the last episode came out. Another great series. I think the cast keeps agreeing to come back because it's such a high-quality production.

Without giving anything away, I was sorry to see how Milky fucks up.

Spoiler
stephen Graham is a powerhouse. That was one of the hardest scenes I've watched in recent years considering you see nothing
