I'm way behind - just finished the first hour, but it seems good so far.

Interesting development tonight. Doubt Bennett is the killer though.

I'm loving this show. Every time I wish the episode would last just a little longer.

I made a guess a while ago that it was Gwen, and see no reason to change it at this point.

I suspect the Aunt may either know something or played a part.

I think so too. I don't think she killed her, but she knows more than she's saying. I think councilman Richmond did it. He plays so innocent and hurt by his wife's death, but I think there's more to him than that.

Maybe his secret is that he's trying to be a hero in his spare time?

Doubt that it's him... from the very beginning they had him as a red herring... and NOW they point hard evidence his way? Seems kinda dumb.

I come at it as a more practical method of deduction.
With Billy Campbell being one of their bigger names in the show... and assuming they want a second season... why not keep him innocent and as the Mayor so that he can be involved in the second season?
Also... somehow Linden has to either break her engagement and stay in Seattle... which would be a bummer for her as well as the fans of the show, or something happens that makes everyone agree that she should not be with the guy. So crazy enough... I pick the killer to be her soon to be husbend.
But my second pick is the "win at all costs" guy with the Councilmen's campaign.

And I just read that it got a second season.

I really hope they solve the murder this season.

I was considering that too. I'd be a bit pissed since it's pretty much out of nowhere, but I wouldn't be surprised.

I remember that exact feeling oh so well the first time I saw Presumed Innocent. Perhaps if I ever had the stomach to watch it again I may see the clues as to who the killer really was... but at the time I was so pissed cuz it seemed like there was not a single clue or even red herring pointing to the true killer.

So, do you think they would have cut the final scenes of Linden and Holder if they weren't picked up for a second season? Everything could have been wrapped up pretty well if they weren't there.

I have the first six episodes but after reading Bill Simmons' take on it yesterday, I don't think I'll bother watching.

PS: I stand by my earlier prediction (see post above)

Is this what you're referring to "Hackery in the First Degree by Bill Simmons"?

I just read this. He must have been watching a different show. I love how journalist refer to "everyone" and how "everyone" feels about something when they should really be saying "I".

I for one think this show was very good, and can't wait for the next season. I for one would also say it is worth a watch. Worst thing that could happen is that after one or two episodes you find you agree with Bill.

Yeah, mainly Bill Simmons, but also a guy I work with.

Yep, that's the one. OK, maybe I'll give it a shot. I just don't want to have the same experience I had with Lost.

Lost was awesome!!!

As for The Killing, I'm gonna buy the boxset, sounds right up my street, and I'm still geekily refusing to download tv
