I have the first six episodes but after reading Bill Simmons' take on it yesterday, I don't think I'll bother watching.

Is this what you're referring to "Hackery in the First Degree by Bill Simmons"?

I just read this. He must have been watching a different show. I love how journalist refer to "everyone" and how "everyone" feels about something when they should really be saying "I".

I for one think this show was very good, and can't wait for the next season. I for one would also say it is worth a watch. Worst thing that could happen is that after one or two episodes you find you agree with Bill.

Yep, that's the one. OK, maybe I'll give it a shot. I just don't want to have the same experience I had with Lost.

This is why I love my DVR.......example: just about "everyone" in my monthly poker game loves MTV Jersey Shore. (yes, I do live in NJ and I won't vouch for the guys I play poker with).

So I proceeded to record Season I when MTV ran a marathon. Started watching and I think I made through about 20 minutes when I decided I did not want to vomit so ..... erased the whole thing.

Nothing ventured, nothing gained.

Well, I understand some of the frustration - I was under the impression that the case would be wrapped up in the first season as well. And I think they would've cut those scenes if it hadn't been picked up, and left it with
Spoiler
Richmond being the killer, and Belko (probably) killing him.

But it's been a pretty high quality show, and other than that bit of frustration and the WTF moment with Holder, I'm okay with it continuing.

I too understand the frustrations, but it's for that very reason I always try to read almost nothing about an upcoming show/film this way I go in with no preconceived expectations.

I just hate seeing journalist/critics speaking as if everyone agrees with them.

I finally got to see the season finale and I thought it was well done. If they solved the murder, they wouldn't have any reason for another season. This way now we all have to come back to see
Spoiler
if Richmond really gets shot, who in the hell my boy Holder was talkin' to and why he is on the dark side AND if they can find out who really killed Rosie.
Now if I can just get freako to stop chewing that damn gum with her awkward jaw, I'll be happy. :D

I'm thinking along the same lines as NoShoes now regarding Rosie's killer.

Actually... I was hoping it would have been cancelled... or at least solved the case in one season... it was good... but not enough to keep me watching. But now I feel invested... bastards.

3 episodes in, I do really like it, even if it is like a real plain twin peaks

Did anyone else watch the premiere? I thought it was good and am excited for another season. I hope the gum takes soon though. ;)

I've decided to record them at standard def., and let them sit on the DVR until I hear all sorts of great things about it, or run out of other shows to watch.

I decided to not watch it this season...
It was very well acted... but it pissed me the hell off that they didn't resolve the murder at the end last season... the longer they draw it out the more red herrings they throw in and the more pissed off I become...

We're gonna be watching, have the first one on the iPad to take with us on vacation (along with 3x Mad Men, Game of Thrones premiere, 3 x Awake - we've been saving up for the long trip).

I was also very pissed off, along with millions of other people, over how they handled the end of last season. But hey, I thought Enos and Kinnaman were extraordinary, and I did like the story even if it was dragged out and full of red herrings. I can dedicate an hour a week for the next couple months to see where it goes.

It's on our DVR, waiting for a 2 hour block with no children interruptions to worry about.

If it weren't for an internet ad I noticed about an hour before it aired, I would have been oblivious.

I've just ended watching the first couple of episodes and they were as good as the show was on the previous season.

I'm still loving the show, but I am a little perturbed about the new angle for Rosie's killer. Now instead of Hottie McParapalegic or Mr. NA Sexy n'Stuff being the ones to look at, we have a whole new Russian mob thing? Seems like a stretch but it's still awesome so I don't mind that much. Oh and, please someone give that woman a cigarette!

Ok....long as I'm not the only one! I kept rewinding and then searching on line to see if I missed the introduction of a character (or simply forgot).

PS: all these twists are making me feel like a pretzel!

I don't know what the deal is anymore. I still dig it, just wish they'd stop jumping around so much.
