Just curious...has anyone seen the show this was based on, Forbrydelsen?

I often find when shows are brought to these shores (Cracker, Prime Suspect) they tend to pale in comparison.

I'm starting to get really bored with this, and for some reason now I can only see it as a REALLY boring remake of twin peaks (don't ask)

But I have to keep watching to see who the killer is

Seems like they've figured it out, but I'm sure there will be another twist.

I have not watched this whole season... and I am soooo happy about that.
But I am told they will reveal who killed Rosie in the finale' (Which will probably also be it's series finale') So please when it's over spoiler text who did it and why for me huh?

It was Laura Palmer's Dad.
Oh, and Bruce Willis was dead the whole time.

I've been thinking about starting it soon - I've watched most of the other stuff on my DVR, and don't have that many summer shows coming up that I care about.

Me too. I haven't started season 2 either, but I've been saving all the episodes. And now that I've caught up on everything else, and finished Mad Men, I too don't have a lot of summer shows to follow. I think I might make the plunge.

I'm really struggling through this, is it awesome or can you just tell me who killed Laura Palmer?

Ok .... just watched it. At first I thought I was going to throw something through my screen, but I'm glad I didn't.

Question now is......is that it?

I didn't think the ending was that bad. The show did drag a bit, but it still was a good show. I have no idea if there'll be a third season, but this story is over.
I understood that in the series this was based on, the killer was someone else entirely and the entire Indian casino storyline didn't even exist, obviously.

I might have given the wrong impression. I do think the finale was good (as was the show overall), I was just frustrated in the first 15/20 minutes of the finale (don't want to give away too much here). I was pleased (and suprised) how it turned out.

PS: also the video did bring a tear to my eye

I know what you mean. I also took a look at my watch and wondered what was supposed to happen now for the next 30 minutes. ;)

I think we all want the answer if it means we dont need to watch the rest of the season?

I finally watched it. I was a little curious how they would fill up the rest of the hour once they did what they did, but I realized that yet again there would be another twist. Sure enough there was. I thought it was a good show but I can't see another season. For those who want to know who killed Rosie:
Spoiler
Jamie is the one who discovered Rosie on the 10th floor. He hit her and thought he killed her, so he put her in the trunk. She wasn't dead obviously and she tried to escape through the woods before Ames arrived to help Jamie dispose of her body. Well Jamie caught up to her, hit her and put her in the trunk again. (this guy isn't too good at killing people) So Ames finally shows up to help Jamie, and has his mistress with him....Aunt Terry!! She over hears Ames saying he is going back to his wife while he's arguing with Jamie and she proceeds to put the car in the water. She hears the screams from Rosie, but at that time she didn't know it was her. Needless to say, it was pretty dramatic when Stan and Midge over hear her confession.

Still haven't seen it. Realized that when Dish moved AMC to a crappier channel in their first round of arguments, my timer didn't transfer so it didn't record the last 3 episodes. So I just deleted the rest. Fortunately, I hadn't started watching it yet.
