Touch (spoilers)

#1 Post by Scruluce » 26 Jan 2012, 15:49

Okay, I'm getting a head start on this one and starting it after seeing the preview pilot episode. For those who haven't heard about it, or want to catch the pilot episode (again) you can find it here. I've already added the "spoiler" caution tape at the door, just in case.

I was really excited to see this was created by Tim Kring, and hope this stays truer to his original vision than his last venture did. This looks to be an amazing show. Has anyone else watched this yet?

I did. I'm undecided though. I love Keifer and I like this concept, but I wonder about it seeming too much like the fync movie that shall not be named. And I don't know if it was my mood or what but I rolled my eyes that his partner in figuring out the numbers each week will be a black woman. I'll still watch a few more though because it's a cool storyline!

Hey, I'm kinda partial to that black woman. I liked watching her in that terrible show Undercovers. She's the reason I kept watching. I guess my eye didnt roll because of her character's job description.

Well like I said, it was probably my mood. I'm sure she's fine, I just get tired of the token. ;)

We really enjoyed this show when we watched it last night and got really bummed when we realised we have to wait two months to see it.

Look, it's convoluted and requires more than a fair leap of faith, but I'm on board. I thought it was the most interesting pilot I've seen all season. It's not for the cynic in me, it's for the part that believes is destiny and relationships and all the good things in life.

I just hope Kring knows what he's doing, and doesn't fuck up quite as royally as last time.

Oh, and I cried like a little girl at the end when he hugged his father.

That is what I enjoyed most about this.

That is actually when I thought, "Ok this might be worth another few viewings". I think before that moment, it wasn't clear where they were going with everything and that's when I was getting bored with it.

Once again... I am of the same mind as Nunis on this... (except for the crying like a little girl part)

I was interested enough to keep viewing. I just hope that the conicidences that occur will continue to be interesting and not exasperating!

I've watched it but in my case, the jury is still out on it. The only thing I really liked about it was when Sutherland hears himself on the phone. On the other hand, there were so many eye rolling moments in it, that at some point I was afraid for permanent eye damage.
I'll still give it a few more episodes before I decide.

Pretty much right on what Nunis said. The first 45 minutes were slow and terribly unbelievable. The last 15 made up for it enough to give it one more try.
