I hope you aren't using an Emmy as a measurement of if you should watch the show or not. Let me remind you that Everybody Loves Raymond has massive amounts of Emmys under its belt and its a steaming pile of lowest-common-denominator horseshit.

I'm a plant, too, I guess. This is definitely one of the best shows on TV right now. I'd say I have the DVD, too, but the post office lost mine (I'm on hold right now) ...

Arrested Development, Simpsons, and 24 are the only good shows on FOX.

I really have to give this show a fair shake. I've watched bits and pieces but I've yet to be sucked in.

Good to know. This might push my NetFlix queue over the 500 mark.

In the Season 1 audio commentaries - members of the cast keep mentioning hilarious outtakes. Anyone know if the outtakes/bloopers will be on the Season 2 dvd?

There's an easter egg on the Season 1 dvd of Arrested Development:

Go to the Extra or Deleted Scenes section on Disc Three. Highlight one of the choices and click the right arrow; a circle appears highlighting Tobias. Click enter.

Signed... but I had heard that it was only cut back 4 episodes to give American Dad it's sweeps spot...

Not that that is a good thing... but it could be interpreted as they didn't think AD needed the swweps viewership... and that kinda crappy American Dad did.

I hope that's all they're doing, even though that would still kinda suck.

Yeah... but at least it prompted them to see that people want to see the show... and also wants Amy Poehler to keep her boat.

Charlize Theron has signed on to guest star in five episodes of the series, playing a British woman who becomes the love interest of Michael Bluth.

I bet FOX is happy they didn't cancel it now.
