Family Guy spin-off The Cleveland Show is slated for a spring '09 début.
It's such a fine line between stupid and clever.

In this week's episode, the dance that the lead singer from Asia does during the clip from "Only Time Will Tell" just cracks me up. The big grin on his face adds to the comedy. I've watched it, like, 5 times.
You see, Hopsi, you don't know very much about girls. The best ones aren't as good as you probably think they are and the bad ones aren't as bad. Not nearly as bad.

The thing that got to us? When Quagmire gives the punchline of the joke at the beginning of the episode, I just fell over laughing. Mr. B looks at me quizzically--what, you know the joke? Well yes, in fact, I know it well. Mr. B was sort of indignant that his wife might know a dirty joke that he didn't.*

(* which I heard long ago when Comedy Central brought 5 comics in and taped them playing poker for something like 2 days straight. They edited it down to a 2 hr show. Kevin Pollack told the joke, as William Shatner, and I thought it was one of the funniest things I'd ever heard)

What's the joke that goes with that punchline?

As a woman staring 50 hard in the face, I found tonights Family Guy episode uncomfortable and not funny and uncomfortable and stereotyped and uncomfortable and hugely depressing, and.... did I mention uncomfortable?

I read your post before the episode had aired out here; and, as a woman who is looking at 50 in the rearview mirror, I had to watch it. It seemed to be a stereotypical, misogynistic Peter-centric episode. Lately I've been watching the show only for the Stewie/Brian interaction. Peter's character just leaves me cold.
