Has anybody watched this. I watched for the first time last night and would like to know more about the show. It seemed like a good show.

I'm kind of a fan, since someone quoted a whole bunch of it somewhere on this site (the bored board maybe?).

Interesting, though, because last night they played a current episode here followed by the pilot. And for my money, it's improved a lot since the pilot. I dunno, if I'd caught the pilot the first time around, I might not have continued to watch the show.

But it's definitely enjoyable. Cute scripts, cute cast. House is very enjoyable, although I have a dreadful feeling that they are going to get him involved in a love affair and water down his character before too long.

That was me! :D And it was in the Bored board. And I also think House is definatly in the Top 3 of new shows... next to LOST and MEDIUM... i'd put House as #2... I don't watch Desperate Housewives. Nor do I care to start. :-?

I still watch - haven't missed a single episode yet. I love the show... or rather, I love House. I love Hugh Laurie. He's a genius, a sexy genius.

You did know he was cast as Perry White in the new Superman flick right? Pretty perfect casting I think...

Wow. I'd never have guessed you'd have this opinion of him.

Yep. So now it has him and Spacey. Sounds great to me.

Btw, IMDb lists it as Superman Returns. Wd Bryan Singer.

Figured I'd revive this thread.

Enjoying this show immensely. I'd caught a couple of episodes over the summer and ended up buying Seasons 1 and 2. Within 2 weeks I had watched every episode and was caught up for this season. Which has started out great. While I think that House should have to use his cane, it is a defining trait, the season starts out quite interesting. I just wish they would have kept to that story line for a while longer.

But, thanks to the World Series on Fox, we're going to hate to wait until October 31st to see any more new episodes. :x

What's your favorite episode?

the one where someone comes in with an unusual illness. the team diagnoses them and they get better. then suddenly and without warning they get worse again! they get re-diagnosed and get better again.

:green: That was a good episode... Best part about it was the snarky remarks House made to his team... Remember when he made that analogy to get his team to understand?

I actually watched the SSN 2 repeats of House all summer and also bought SSNs 1 & 2. I'm really enjoying it.

Premeire had a plot hole though

How did his butt start bleeding, and why didn't it just clot up because he clotted when he was going crazy.

I don't have to tell you I'm still watching religiously. First thing I do every Wednesday after work.

I can tell you though that if it was me, I wouldn't need some earthquake parasite to act like that towards House.

Sorry to revive an old thread, but last night's episode downright pissed me off.

Spoiler
Did they really have to have Kutner kill himself?

Of all of House's flunkies, he was my favorite. The actual medical case was mildly interesting and served to reinforce Taub's role in the team. It looked like Meatloaf's wife had his boobs from Fight Club.

Most of this season has had the underlying theme of House transforming from a**hole to almost nice person, and the conflicts have been hogging more and more of the storylines. Either the writers have run out of cool, complex medical mysteries, or House himself is about to change dramatically. If he becomes nice, the show will be unwatchable. The dark, gallows humor can only be pulled off with a brooding character.

Last week's episode with Mos Def was really cool, but this week's was nothing short of a downer.

Spoiler
I've read that Kal Penn asked to leave the show because he wants to work in politics, and he did lots of work for Obama over the last 2 years, but couldn't the recent storyline of Taub looking to leave have been written for Kutner? I understand that suicide prevents the need/desire to bring him back in the future, but it was so unexpected and shocking. For once, a FOX trailer that claimed "a twist you never saw coming" was on the money.

I wasn't really pissed off, but I was very surprised. I liked Kutner a great deal.

That said, this episode did give us one of the best lines of the season:

House: I need an incurable romantic to talk to an incurable romantic.
Cameron: Kutner wasn't murdered.
House: Did you deduce that by removing you sunglasses to the strains of a Who song?

Agreed.

Great episode tonight. Biggest highlight:

"I knew you couldn't stay away."
"This is my apartment!"

And seeing Taub out of place with these bloodshot eyes was great. Oh, that Taub.

Oh, and this is an instant classic.

I'm glad I DVR'd that episode. Towards the end, I was just looking at the screen and wondering :wtf:

For those that dig this show, check out http://www.politedissent.com/house_pd.html.

The guy is an MD and he reviews the medicine that gets presented in each episode. He does a pretty good job of explaining what they're doing and pointing out areas where it does or doesn't fit with the real world.

Nice, glad to see this is in here. This season was totally insane. I really have no idea what's going on with him at this point although I can't help but think a lot of the show's best stuff will be lost with him in rehab and not doing clinic duty and messing with his team. I'm guessing this makes Foreman the leader and Cuddy will be more involved with each case?

Was catching up with an episode I missed this season -- "Painless" and caught this interesting bit of dialogue
Spoiler for end of season
Taub: Sane people don't attempt suicide.
Kutner: with a sort of incredulous look Not Ever? So if you were being burnt at the stake and someone handed you a gun...
Taub: I'd shoot the guys with the torches.
Wonder if this was foreshadowing what happened 8 episodes later or just :ironic:

Watcha think?
