:green: I really wish this show could cross over to NBC or something---it's quirky but I really wish it could gain a larger audience than what it gets on USA.

I don't really see Psych on NBC.. it's more of an underground show.

It's where it belongs. On NBC, it would've been canceled long ago.

That was one of the best ever. Full to the brim of 80s teen movie references.

I cant beleive that was Rachael Leigh Cook! :o She looked so... thin... and the blonde hair... I mean it was nice... but not like her at all.

Finally catching up on s3 on the TiVo. In the opening scene (well, the first present-day scene) of 3x05 "Disco Didn't Die, It Was Murdered!":

Chief: "She can't be in here, so get her the hell out."

Sean: "Uh, come to think of it, I think you'll probably get a better shot here, through this window. Now, try to catch me with a good expression -- preferably with this eyebrow raised, like so. Or my serious face. Best-case scenario: snap a shot when my signature look comes up -- I call it 'Señor Gotcha'".

Interviewer: "Oh. How will I know what that is?"

Sean: "You'll know. :glwacoy:"

I keep waiting for an "I blame bing" because sometimes I'm sure one of the writers reads FW.

Same ep (~16m):

Sean: "Hello." "Chief, what's the good ..." "My dad down at the DA's office?" "No, I -- I don't think so. I think I can clear this up for you, chief -- that wasn't my dad. That was Phil Collins."

And he continues into a Phil Collins bit (nothing more specifically AP-related, though).

(~20m):

Pawn-shop onwer: "I'll have to go look through the box."

Sean: "Box -- what do you think the box is? A giant room, like in Raiders?"

Gus: "I think it's a box."

Sean: "A secret catacombs underneath the building, like in National Treasure?"

Gus: "Shame on you for knowing that."

(If someone actually said/screamed :fync!:, I'd probably have had a heart attack.)

Yikes. That's kind of spooky. I like Psych, but never sensed any FW connection before. Is there precedent?

I get that feeling from The Daily Show/Colbert Report every now and then.

Oh, no -- Ted McGinley (and an oceanic theme to boot)!

(I wonder how this will end ...)

Sean: "... And I've been doing a little something I like to call 'stalling'. And Rutger Hauer calls 'shtalling*'."

Roger**: "Why?"

Gus: "Because he's Dutch."

Roger: "No, why are you stalling?"

*shtalling" is said in a cheesy accent, of course
**one of the bad guys du jour

Great end for S3, even if it didn't really feel like a Psych episode at times...

Love that Rachael Leigh Cook came back to bookend the season

Now no more new Psych :-(

Ummm ... until Jun 2

I was shocked that there were no Breakfast Club (or even Short Circuit) references in the finale.
