Actually, you see, he leases them back from the company he sold them to and that way it comes under the monthly current budget and not the capital account.

And Jupiter aligns with Mars
Then peace will guide the planets
Rubber gloves will steer the stars

Sorry. That's the "songs written just to get in a girl's pants" thread. It's somewhere behind that song where the dude talks about visiting God, specifically noting "I'd really like to meet Her."

The Alannah Myles song? I had the misfortune to hear that three times in one day last week. I was not amused, but did think it was a little odd.

You didn't specify which people, and I can name at least two who still claim that she's a fantastic songwriter and poet.

(I, of course, don't see it. She has no grasp of the English language. Did anyone ever see the interview Kurt Loder gave her about her book? He rips her a new one about how the word she uses don't make any sense. She pulled a Humpty Dumpty and claimed that the words she uses mean whatever she wants them to mean. I honestly believe that Paris Hilton may have a few more brain cells than her.)

The interview was a few years ago.

deadoraliveinfo.com doesn't seem to deem him worthy of an entry, yet John Cameron Swayze (the guy who made the phrase "It takes a licking and keeps on ticking" famous) is famous enough to be listed.

Yeah, I think John Cameron Swayze might be famous for other reasons, too: perhaps anchoring the NBC and ABC evening news.

Many people don't watch the news, but everyone knows Timex.

Ok, I heard the first line of this song yesterday and instantly dismissed it as one of the dumbest songs ever. I looked up the song today and learned a bit more about it.

Quote:
HANNAH MONTANA - "See You Again"

I got my sights set on you and I'm ready to aim
I have a heart that will never be tamed
I knew you were something special
When you spoke my name
Now I can't wait to see you again

I've got a way of knowing when something is right
I feel like I must have known you in another life
Cause I felt this deep connection when you looked in my eyes
Now I can't wait to see you again

[Chorus:]
The last time I freaked out
I just kept looking down
I st-st-stuttered when you asked me what I'm thinking about
Felt like I couldn't breathe
You asked what's wrong with me
My best friend Leslie said "Oh she's just being Miley"
The next time we hang out
I will redeem myself
My heart it can't rest till then
I can't wait to see you again

[Chorus]

I got this crazy feeling, deep inside
When you called and asked to see me tomorrow night
I'm not a mind reader but I'm reading the signs
That you can't wait to see me again

[Chorus]

I got my sight set on you and I'm ready to aim

[Chorus]

oh oh oh oh oh
I - I can't wait to see you again

If you have your sights on something, doesn't that pretty much mean that you have already aimed?

Anyway, the song lost me right there on line one. Now I've come to learn that it is sung by Miley Montana ir whatever she is. So this is the crap today's kids are hearing. Dear lord. The generations will just keep getting dumber and dumber.
