The reasoning is entirely circumstantial. "Because he's a cyclist" is certainly part of it; I've watched a fair amount of the last ten days of the tour and his performance looks superhuman. He's just miles better than everyone else around him.

There's some pro/against arguing here that's interesting reading: http://bikerackheads.blogspot.com/2013/ ... seudo.html

I'd have thought the testing was so in depth now it'd be impossible to get away with it.

I don't think the testing will ever be ahead of the cheat... soon as they catch on to one, the next is already on its way. You know this.

Maybe not the first one, but surely the second, third and fourth ones.

Ok, seriously -- this is one of my least favorite things about the disparity among local rules and it makes absolutely no sense -- why do some fans at live games get to see replays while others do not?

I'm watchin' Cincy-Green Bay and after a close call or a penalty, the fans CLEARLY get to see the replay on the jumbotron. I haven't seen a close-call replay at a ball game in something like 20 years, maybe longer. Why is this a provincial issue?

I've noticed in many cases that you get to see the replay if its in the home team's favor but not if its against them

So nothing is ever in Frog's home team's favor? Sounds about right.

I'm sure the people in Green Bay don't share your sentiment about Seattle

What happens when you play a ballgame and no one watches? Well, in this case the Houston Astros lost thier 105th game of the year and no one in Houston watched it.

Quote:
Even though the Texans lost Sunday to the Ravens, from the perspective of the Nielsen Co., they pitched a shutout in front of Houston television viewers.

The Texans’ loss at Baltimore was seen by an average audience of 23 percent of Houston’s 2.28 million TV households, or about 526,553 households, on KHOU (Channel 11).

And the Astros’ noon game at Cleveland on Comcast SportsNet Houston?

0.00 Nielsen rating, with an average audience of zero households.

For the first time in the Astros’ history as one of the first Major League Baseball teams to distribute their games over cable, they played a game Sunday afternoon and, according to Nielsen, nobody watched.

Sorry, dawgs, but this is the first time Seattle has started with a 4-0 season

Yeah, well, at least you have a Quarterback that doesn't throw touchdowns to the other team. Seriously, 3 pick-6s in 3 games. It's got to be some kind of record. Every one of which tied the score or added to a lead. We totally got Schaubed today.

Well, turns out 3 wasn't a record, but 4 is.

Hertl - 6 goals in 3 NHL games. 4 goals tonight in just over 11 minutes of ice time.

His mom's wearing a Marleau sweater (there's no Hertl jersey...yet).

And I've gained much respect for Thornton following it up:

Quote:
Hearing a question to Marleau about Hertl and whether he was showboating, (Sharks Captain Joe) Thornton said: “Shut up, have you ever played the game?”

When the press turned his way, he then added: “I’d have my cock out if I scored four goals. I’d have my cock out, stroking it.”

Effing Detroit. I was looking forward to watching the Athletics make it to the World Series.

It's been a long time.
Last WS - 1990
Last WS won - 1989
Last Championship - 2006 (lost to Detroit)

For the remainder of the season, I guess it's "Go Cards!"

I'm pretty sure her son could have provided her with one.

As a useless adjunct, as an Islander fan, this early season performance by the Rangers and particularly Lundquist is delectable.
