I think I lean more towards FNG on these songs.

I do have to say, whenever I think of "When Smokey Sings" I always have the response from Win Ben Stein's Money pop into my head:

When Smokey Sings, I Get Violent

Agreed...
Caught a show a coouple years ago with Styx, REO Speedwagon, and Journey. That was tremendous. (Even with the Steve Perry clone.)

Probably something better than posting on internet community forums.

I was thinking perhaps something in fast food service.

Excellent, it only took just over 2 years for someone to revive this thread and with such aplomb too.

I love that Hollywood Squares graphic. You can never have enough Xs and Os.

Meanwhile, since we're talking about Worst Songs Ever, I offer for your consideration:

The dreaded Christmas Shoes song

Now to wash my ears with some antibiotic soap.

I lasted that long to try to listen to the chorus. I even thought about trying to make it to the bridge but it was... a bridge too far

Ah... Yes, I have actually heard this song before... It's been around for a while, and my church used to play it when I was younger.... Never really hear it on the radio (except in my parents' car--on the Contemporary Adult or Christian radio stations)

I think I actually remember seeing a "human video" done to this song (human videos were popular in my denomination--youth groups would take a song and create a story and act out the song... this one came with a story already so I guess the kids were lazy :-) ).

Take it to the TMI thread.

Okay you are aware grenadine barely has any flavor, is primarily used to color cocktails, and has no alcohol content right? Good thing she puts that extra food color in there to really get the party crunk. What a douche.

Awesome.

I'd completely forgotten that I'd made this thread. But it's a good thing I did, since I heard an utter shit cover of Friend of the Devil today redone by the Counting Crows, and I had no clue where I should post about the atrocity.

You seem to listen to a lot of Counting Crows given how often you bash them

I listen to radio that plays Counting Crows. I get nearly as angry when they play reggae. Look: you're a rock station, not an f'ing "reggae/rock station." The two have nothing in common, especially as one sucks.
