Greatest Sports Photos Ever

Please provide by sport. I think the definitive ones for hockey and boxing are below, but I could be wrong:

The bottom photo is the hockey shot.

Is that Bobby Orr on May 10, 1970, scoring a goal to give Boston its first Stanley Cup in 29 years? (I mean the bottom photo.)
It's such a fine line between stupid and clever.

The Pete Rose image is definitely one of those you think of when you think baseball, but with Rose's issues (and the poor quality of the photo) I'll offer:

It's fun, it's healthy, it's good exercise. The kids will just love it. and we put a little sand inside to make the experience more pleasant.

The problem with sports photos more than any other photos is that 99% of all defining images from sports come from broadcasts. Besides the Ali shot, I can't really think of any others that don't just serve to remind one of a motion sequence.

Is that a typo...? :mishchief:

Although when it comes to darts I think Eric Bristow's finger is probably the most iconic image...

Wow, is this indicative. None of the soccer photos have anything to do with any stellar play, goal, save, action, etc. on the field. Pretty much all the other shots do.

I'm sure you all go to games and watch them for some reason (probably cultural or due to some repression from your childhood), but it sure doesn't seem to be for any excitement that the game itself actually has.
