Some of my so-called "friends" have sent me emails with plot spoilers for the new book in them. I opened the message as the titles were quite innocuous, and was horrified to read the contents.

They got a very swift and terse reply that I was disgusted that they would send on such stuff. They thought I "might like a few spoilers". Bastards :balrog:
Statler: Well, how do you like the film?
Waldorf: I've seen detergents leave a better film than this.

I do believe that definitely calls for the old "I thought you might like a kick in the groin." next time you see them.

Enraged Potter nerds are hilarious. I'm sad this is the last book.

Oops, sorry for spoiling this is the last book.

Have you guys seen the "Hermione dies on page 762" shirts already being sold?

I can't believe how some people can be such assholes.

Well now, wait a second. Is there any way that we could arrange this to all happen as one big group? It could be quite fun. :mishchief:

Please don't even joke about spoilers. I'm begging you.

I'm leaving FilmWise now, and won't be back until I've finished the book. I'm scared to death of this thing.

You can discuss the rest of the topics (including Snape) without me.

Enjoy the read; I know I will. See you Monday, or thereabouts.

Oh, right. Book 6 was :4.5stars:; it lost some points due to occasional references to Aragog, whose name I could not read past without thinking of Agrajag. I presume when the thing did appear every 100 pages or so, it spent most of its time postcrapping around Hagrid's place.

I blame Rowling. And bing.

Not long to wait now, and all our questions will be answered. Or will they??

Don't ask me why but I have got a sneaky suspicion that somethings are going to be left 'open'. She may have said that she would only do 7 books, but I can't shake this feeling that JK Rowling hasn't quite finished with Harry Potter yet (Unless he dies in Deathly Hallows).

So Snape Good or Bad?

Throughout the history of books the one person you think is evil and not at all nice, turns out to be one of the heroes. I think that may just be true of Snape. Could he be the one that gets rid of Voldermort? The wait is killing me.

Good news is though, a shop here in the UK is selling the book for £6, which is around $12!!!

You sure that's not just the pre-order deposit?

Nope! Asda (owned by Wal-Mart) are selling the book for £5. Tesco are selling the book for £5 but only if you spend £50 on other things (wtg Tesco!), and Morrisons are selling it for £7. They are limiting the number of copies to one or two per person, which makes sense.

Still can't decide where to get mine from. Going to York so Borders or Waterstones would be the obvious choice, but if it's going to be expensive there I'll have to take a trip to the 24hr Asda superstore :s

I'm now half way through. Man, is it ever depressing?

Was in tears within the first 50 pages

Since when are things cheaper down South?? Morrisons here was £4.99, no other purchase necessary...

Book 6 was rubbish, hope this one is a good finale, but I'm second in the queue, so the chances of remaining spoiler-free are slim to none.

book is great so far...maybe 180ish pages so far

i'm at that one place where that one guy and that other guy argue about that one person and something else

i don't wanna read too fast because then it is over; but i don't wanna stop reading either

why couldn't she have made this a 9-book series instead of 7?
