So it's OK to ruin the weekly quiz but not this one?

Yeah that makes sense.

People who give out PM hints should shampoo my crotch.

Douchebag.

No, I don't advocate PM-ing hints for the Invisibles early on in the week, and I never have. Then again, I don't much care. But this is a contest with prizes, and therefore, any and all hints given here on the forums will be deleted.

Don't know if the Boyz will check here, but any chance on random draws... seeing as how more than 3 people have already proclaimed their 16/16, I don't know if it's even worth sending in my measly 13/16... unless of course us dummies have a shot at getting a random drawing...

Just checking to see if you Boyz have gotten any more DVDs to add to the mix. Tough contest (for me at least... others seem to have done well on it PDQ)

KM~

EDIT---just got my 14th shot... but I doubt I'll get the last two this week... :balrog:

Googled and got 15/16 and now need to place shot 13 (it looks so familiar too, but probably only because I've been staring at it for 4 weeks) Do I want to submit my answers again to the Boyz or wait until the 24th when I'll probably forget/miss the deadline?

After a night of googling my brains out I finally got all 16. Thankfully my wife looked at one picture and said "Isn't that..."

When the winners are selected, will there be some sort of announcement?

Yes. It will be on the homepage, and I'm sure we'll post something in here as well. Scoring and drawing winners can take a few days after the deadline though. Just keep checking back.

I was checking the answers for the blankety-blanks and #15 is spelled wrong. I don't know if that really matters but the prison name in face/off was not "Erehwon" (Nowhere spelled backwards) as the answer key says but is actually jumbled up a little to be "Erewhon". May help sort out some of the many perfect scores recieved. Hopefully the boyz will get this. Thanks all and congrats to all that got perfects, got mine on the last day.

Are you sure it's not Erewhon, like the Samuel Butler novel?

It very well may have been a Butler reference, but wasn't Butler's intent for it to be "nowhere" loosely spelled backwards?

Great book by the way, for those that are unfamiliar.

(Chowbok knew there would be trouble...)

the script has it spelled "erewhon"
the trivia on IMDB says that it is meant as a simple anagram of "nowhere"
Please correct me if I am wrong

I'm wondering about the last one...for Princess Bride??? Everywhere I can find says they were the 'screaming eels' not shrieking. All reviews and plot summarys say screaming but I don't have the movie to verify

http://new.wavlist.com/movies/106/pb-eels.wav
I've found my answer. My instinct was off and so were the googled reviews!!!! ARGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My apologies. I read your post as "why do they think it's 'Erewhon'?" (and had skimmed the answer key so fast that I didn't notice it was actually spelled "Erehwon" there. I think (and hope) that you're right that there's a typo in the answer key. When the scores are posted it'll certainly be clear.

What the hell is Latte Thunder? I was positive that it was Fight Club, but couldn't come up with anything that fit.

Scores are up: http://filmwise.com/contests/contest_22a.shtml

First of all, congrats to Leesa Mae, Emily Melton, and Margie Haynie.

Secondly, I'm pretty friggin sure I had 16, but maybe I wrote something in wrong. Oh well, not that it matters. Bring on the next contest.

Right.... it was the scene where they blow up the lobby artwork so that it will roll that huge ball into a coffee shop... Latte Thunder was the mission name.
