Twin Peaks

#1 Post by kinggrl » 03 Jan 2003, 06:31

Ok, I know this isn't a movie. But, I'm hoping someone knows the answer to this one.

Last Xmas (2001) they released Twin Peaks Season 1 on DVD and I bought it. Er, there were only 2 seasons. Why hasn't Season 2 been released yet?!?! Anyone have any info?

Amazon sells 4-episode DVDs which I think cover the second season. I can't remember there being any more than 29 episodes...Actually, I can't even remember the second season

I don't remember which season it was, but I thought Twin Peaks got really cool and interesting and freaky when Kenneth Welsh showed up to play Agent Cooper's brilliant but twisted mentor.

Love Kenneth Welsh. Brilliant actor.

from here:
There still hasn't been a formal announcement for season 2 of Twin Peaks coming to DVD, but we've received some information that backs up our previous news item that the set would be released in April. Our new source says the set will be released on April 10, 2007. Hopefully we get studio confirmation about this soon.
It's such a fine line between stupid and clever.

from here
We're still waiting on the official announcement for the second season of Twin Peaks, but Paramount has already announced it for region 2, and they're releasing it in two volumes. We checked with some retail friends, and we were told region 1 will receive the entire season on 6 discs. Special features will include:
  • ⋅ Interviews
    ⋅ Featurettes
    ⋅ Audio Commentaries
    ⋅ Episode Introductions
The set is still on track for release April 10, 2007. Here's a look at the artwork:

In case anyone missed it, Season 2 came out yesterday (Region 1). Season 2 for Region 2 is supposedly already out, although neither Amazon UK not Play.com seem to have it. CD WOW does though.
