I'm in the US, and I'm actually going for the Kurosawa Criterion boxset, anywhere from 75 to 100 USD.

As said earlier, the Shogun miniseries for 60 USD (I suppose most valuable is Sid & Nancy Criterion, but I got that dirt cheap.)

I've got the Red Sox Box Set arriving ($77)

In £, my most expensive is probably the Captain Scarlet complete series, but I can't remember how much that was...

I've got three seasons of Smallville, all about £60 each.
Going on a complete tangent, the most expensive book I've ever bought was for £100, closely followed by one for $90

I think I paid close to $100 each for the first 5 seasons of X-Files on DVD.

Probably 50.... for either Family Guy or Indiana Jones. I would doubt I'd ever go above that for anything (exempting maybe all of the Star Wars, or 24)

I almost paid £40 for Chelseas Review of the Season 2000-2001 VHS, but was pipped by a last minute bidder on ebay. It's totally rare because Chelsea withdrew it from sale after sacking Gianluca Vialli 5 weeks in to the season.
If anyone has it, or know someone... ;)

I paid around $80 for the entire series of My So Called Life. Also, I paid around $50 to get Orgazmo from Japan. A year later, they decided to re-release it. I was highly pissed.

I ended up getting it for 25, plust I had a Paypal Gift Cert., making the total 10 plus S&H, which was 5. So in total, out of pocket expenses 15 USD.

I'd have to check my DVD Profiler to be sure, but probably one of my TV Box sets... either:
Image or Image

Image was quite pricy and of course the Simpsons collection will be the worst because I plan on buying every season (damn OCD) so <17 * $30 or 40 = $$$$ (I'm debating getting the ST:TNG series maybe ask for one season every Christmas or just Netflix them all  )

I think I paid €75 for that, about two years ago.
