49 but would be a lot higher if I hadn't just discovered all the films I own on VHS and if dvdsontap hadn't been invented!
Lionel Hutz, aka Miguel Sanchez, aka Dr. Nguyen van Thoc, was paid $8 for his 32 hours of babysitting.

He was glad to get it.

I'd say around 50 but I got more than 1.000 VHS so it will take a little time to replace all those. :P

Btw does anybody knows a video filing software for Mac?

Edit : Around 370 now (I scanned them all, I think, to file them into Delicious Library)

DVD's around 30-40. VHS in the hundreds. I could actually build a house out of VHS tapes I own.

If you countbox sets like the sopranos as 1 dvd instead of 4 then about 575. If you count all of those sets as diffrent DVDs then about 650. (benefits of working at a video store and having no conscience)

Anybody else keep theirs in alphabetical order and then have a fit when someone borrows an "M" and puts it back in the "A" section? :D

I've been on a buying frenzy lately, so I think I'm well over the 100 mark now. What's the official ruling on box-sets/special editions? For instance, does the FOTR Special Extended Edition count as one or four?

Personlly I count ones like FOTR Extended Edition as 1 dvd since its one movie and then special features. Kinda like you dont count the double disc Minority Report as 2. But I got a question about this. What about box sets like the Jurrasic Park where it has the 3 JP dvds but then has another dvd called "beyond jurassic park" which is just a big "making of" on all three movies. I usually count the set as 3 dvds and leave out the 4th "beyond" disc. Same problem with the first Marilyn Monroe Diamond Collection box set, 5 dvds then a Marilyn documentary dvd.

Things like Malcolm in the Middle first season is 3 dvds but I count it as one. Same with all tv series on multiple dvds.

Anybody else keep theirs in alphabetical order and then have a fit when someone borrows an "M" and puts it back in the "A" section?

Don't keep my in ABC order because I loan out so many (big family :) ). I keeep a list though in Word of all my dvds in alphabetical order. I've been gonna categorize them into their genres, but don't have enough yet.

Be sure to keep many backup copies of that list in case some dumbass overwrites the one copy on your HD.. and you never thought you'd need a backup because you wouldn't be stupid enough to delete your own file that you worked so hard to alphabetize, categorize and color code. Hold me back, Todd! I'm gonna get midwestern!

I second your 1 movie or season = 1 DVD.
