Yes they are, but considering the last couple of weeks worth of posts are missing, I'd wait for further developments. If a later date backup of the forums will be loaded, new posts will be lost.

And lost ones will be regained...it's a very groovy paradox, baby.

Hey all, just checking in briefly. Am at the lounge at the airport now, on my way to Portugal.

I say be moderate in posting until we know for sure what's happening. As you guys have already pointed out, if we restore the posts from the last 12 days via a backup, we lose everything posted between now and then.

I've emailed Brian about the lost posts, and he did tell me earlier in the week that there's a more recent backup of the database (from the 15th or 16th, I believe), so I'm hoping he restores that. Feel free to check with him though via email what's going on.

I will leave you to it now and hope all is back to normal when I return.

Take care. All the best.

Nunis

This could be a crisis. The posts in the last 12 days were some of my best.

I can make regular posts in this thread when the forums are up. If the forums go down, I will no longer make those posts.

edit: the forums are still up

9/18: THE EVEN LATER LATEST: Okay, the Forums are up and running again. (Woo hooo!) Unfortunately, the posts after September 3rd have been lost. (Booooooo!) I'm looking into the possibility of retrieving them, but I'm not too hopeful. I apologize to all you Forummers if the data is indeed lost, but I'll do what I can. I gotta admit, it's jut nice to have the site in working order again. (But please let me know if you see anything else that's not working.)

Well, your nobody called today
She hung up when I asked her name
Well, I wonder does she think she's being clever
(Clever, ohh, ohh)
You say nobody's after you
The fact is what you say is true
But I can love you like nobody can
Even better

I thought Nunis did a system backup the night the boards went down... I know she's on vacation, but since Nipples is saying it's unlikely the posts will be brought back, shouldn't we just wait for her to get back and restore the boards?

Plus... I don't remember my September Month of Movies :s

Fortunately, I've watched next-to-nothing this month
