Hard to imagine that Nirvana have been irritating me from this side of the grave and that for 20 years now.

I'll always rememebr kinda liking Nirvana until everyone else did, but then around 5-10 years later seeing all the 'youths' with the Nirvana tops. Well I was there man, I lived through that shit.

The annual OU/Texas football game is arguably my favorite college game of the year. I typically host or at least attend a party to watch this game and wouldn't miss it for anything.

Evidently my feelings have softened over the years. Last Saturday morning I was up with the baby and finally got her down for a nap around 9:30 AM. I knew full well that kickoff was scheduled for 11AM but that didn't stop me from happily going back to bed and napping through the first hour of the game.

More by association, but Mrs. Knarf's godson just started a game in the NCAA Tournament.

Saw a list of celebs turning 50. Included most of the cast of St. Elmo's Fire.

I can't remember if I already wrote this in another thread. If I did, please bear with me.

When I was in high school and early college I thought it was funny to drop my pants and underwear around my ankles when using the urinal in a crowded restroom. The other night it occurred to me that if I did it now I would just be creepy and weird.

My first thought was: but that would inevitably expose one's trouserings to splashback and the inevitable urine-puddle on the floor. My second thought was: but then one would have to bend down to pull up one's trouserings. My third thought was: that sounds a trifle creepy. My fourth thought was: I'm getting old.

Summer of 1982: 15 Classic Films Turn 30

I saw about half of them in the theater, most of the rest a year or two later on VHS.

Realizing about a 1/3 of the people in the theater with me watching Prometheus weren't even alive when Alien was first released.

Whilst watching Wimbledon the other day they referred to someone (you can tell I was paying attention) as having a good tournament in 2002, "but that was a long time ago".

JJ and I saw Alien at a drive thru oonce upon a time. I remember thinking it was so cool to sit on top of a car and watch a movie.

:o Wow. Was coming here to say that we told Spyman's kid that Andy Griffith died, and she had no idea who he was.
