to be honest the concept of a reality show is enough of a sign that the end is nigh

I wouldn't watch it either, but I don't have the same effects on shows as you do. If I did, I would definitely watch it just for the sake of humanity.

ok....this may not be mankind's apocalypse, but I think it may be the end of made-for-TV movies (or at least I hope so).

It was like a train wreck in slo-mo....I couldn't take my eyes away.

What you say should be true...
But sadly... the truth is that it was their most successful made for SYFY movie to date... so much so that it even will be released into theaters! Just a signle day engagement... but still! :o
Not to mention that the sequel is already in the works.

I watched as the Lamb opened the first of the seven seals. Then I heard one of the four living creatures say in a voice like thunder, "Come and see!" I looked, and there before me was a white shark with with a frickin' laser beam attached to it's head! Its rider held a bow, and he was given one meellion dollars, and he rode out as a conqueror bent on conquest and he was Evil.

Ok....now just hold on there. I'll admit that even I watched the whole movie on TV (albeit via DVR so I could skip ads), and the idea of doing midnight screenings is going to bring in some business, but to compare this to The Rocky Horror Picture Show is just plain blasphemous!

Apparently, the end is near!

I agree it's blasphemous, but to be fair, they said "It has the trappings for Rocky Horror -type cult movie following," which can be argued, fanatical fan base, willing to go to midnight showings, etc, etc. It didn't actually say it was actually on the level of RHPS, just that the fans share a common passion. But I agree, it is no where near RHPS.

The fact that on some news sites, Miley Cyrus is apparently a bigger story than Syria.

On a positive note, she has apparently killed twerking.

Filming is happening now in Downtown Baton Rouge. The film being shot on 3rd Street stars Nicholas Cage. It is called Left Behind and is based on a Christian novel about life after the rapture.

What? Can they release a movie like this nationally or has the Cage found his inner Jesus? I'm confused.
