Gauntlet Thread

This should be about the best videogame ever, only. But I'm sure it will get spoiled by a bunch of Eastwood/Locke pics...

Shots don't hurt other players ... yet.

(And Ms. Pac-Man is far superior to Gauntlet.)
It's such a fine line between stupid and clever.

I just want to play Gauntlet II on my PS2. Does such a thing exist? Does it come with the stupid Dark Legacy game?

Am I remembering this correctly?

Is this the game in which a group of bondage-costumed dumbass monkeyspanks walk across the screen, blithely oblivious to the numerous dangers around them, and your job is to eliminate the various pitfalls, hazards and projectiles from their path?

No, I'm thinking of "Crossbow". Never mind.

Lionel Hutz, aka Miguel Sanchez, aka Dr. Nguyen van Thoc, was paid $8 for his 32 hours of babysitting.

He was glad to get it.

got Gauntlet IV (Megadrive) from ebay!!! used to have it but lost all my old games. It has the classic arcade game as well as an original mode which has rpg elements (ie you need to find certain objects to pass through certain bits)

Right -- Crossbow had "Don't shoot your friends." And Gauntlet "Shots do not hurt other players...yet."

Damn, Crossbow was stupid. Though watching those monkeyspanks stroll gratuitously unaware through the valley of death was pretty entertaining.

Didn't one of them have a knife which he sometimes helped with? Those kids weren't completely unarmed.

Does it have Gauntlet II as well as Gauntlet? There are two classic arcade games...

And what about the PS2?

It has the arcade version. Dunno whether that's 2 or 1, hundreds of levels, 4 player.

Does it have "IT"? (A giant orb which makes one player chased at by all the monsters.)

I don't think so (it hasn't arrived yet and it's been at least 10 years since I last played)

If you buy G2, you can get a the G1 board and it's pretty easy to swap in.
