Because we didn't have a "Random Thing That F'ing Horrifies You" thread:

Apparently undergraduate tuition at Columbia in NYC is $70k a year. Fuck. Me. That's significantly more than my first house cost.

This morning as I was about to leave home for work, I checked my iPhone to see the temperature. It was 53 degrees but that's not important. What freaked me out was that it also told me that if I left right then, I would be at (my work address) in 45 minutes. That means that it keeps track of where I am and noticed that I alway got to this address (I never told it I work there and I never have put my work address anywhere on it). That is some freaky 1984 shit there. And to make it worse, it was right, so it can calculate traffic. All of this without being asked. :o

I noticed this as well a while back. You can actually see the specifics for this in your settings. It marks 'frequently visited locations' and adds logical data to this. If you're a certain location several times a week from 8:00 AM until 5:00 PM, it is reasonable for your device to mark this as your work location. Same goes for your home and other frequently visited places.
You can find it under 'Settings -> Privacy -> Location Services -> System Services -> Frequent Locations'. Here you can either turn it on or off.

Sounds like Google Now at work. If you have a gmail account and google from the same computers it keeps track of everything.

I don't have a google account. I do google though. This was on my iPhone's notification center and apparently, it is a feature. This is the first time I have seen it though. This is what it looked like (From the Apple Support website).

And WD on the quotes.
