A reboot 10 years from the start of the last franchise and 5 years from the last movie? Baffling.

Well, now I just feel stupid. Stylistic choices mostly (like, say, why a hammer?) -- the plot does eventually unravel itself. The self-mutilation towards the end is also a choice I'm never gonna get, from either a plot or an art POV.

In that case, I don't see Speilberg's version helping you there, since it's gonna be a tamer version for sure.

Apparently Speilberg is off the project.

I've always been a fan of Fright Night. Apparently Colin Farrell has joined the cast on the remake, playing the part originally played by Chris Sarandon. He joins the already signed Anton Yelchin and Toni Colette

they're remaking this now as well??? This is William Ragsdale's masterpiece and the reason I saw Frankenstein the college years.
Although I am a fan of Anton Yelchin...who's taking the Roddy McDowell character? Is it Helena Bonham Carter again?
