Hey guys, thanks for posting news and links about Tron! I work with Disney and am interested to hear what you are all looking forward to most about the film. Also, who followed all the Comic-Con coverage? We had a huge following, it was great!

Just wanted to also encourage you guys to follow Tron on Twitter (http://twitter.com/tronlegacy) or check out our Facebook page (http://www.facebook.com/Tron?ref=ts#!/Tron) if you're not already - that's usually where we'll have all our news, updates, interviews, etc.

Look forward to hearing your feeback!

Quite seriously, I do not mind some corporate flack talking about their movie if they mention, "hey, I'm a corporate flack for the company whose movie this is." And stuff.

I wholeheartedly agree. But if we are going to promote it, I'd expect some swag....

Tron cheated the first time round by using "computer's" for special effects, now I see its cloning or even worse a case of human reverse engineering!!!(god Jeff what have they done to you) Are there no depths to what Walt Disney will do in order to corner the summer blockbuster family film market. Time Machines, Pirates and now artificial computer blasphemy, wait what was the name of the bad guy in tron again? man i am so drunk

Hey again!

We feel like its better to be honest and upfront with you guys about who we are. We are really here to get your feedback and opinions on the movie and I look forward to hearing that! I mentioned Comic-Con before, but check out one of the interviews. The set is pretty cool and hints towards some pretty awesome scenes. What do you guys think?

That is a pretty sweet set.

Tron 2 is really missing out on a gold mine by not throwing a cameo bone out to that dude that made his own Tron suit.

Thanks for being honest with us. I am looking forward to Tron 2: Electric Boogaloo.

Since I've never seen the original Tron, I'm not all that excited. But I must say that the promotional shots and trailers that I've seen so far have been pretty spectacular. I do really wonder what kind of plot it has to offer us, and that this will not be a 'style over substance' (see also: Matrix sequels) movie, that has nothing to offer to new viewers, but will only satisfy (or enrage) the fanboys.
Color me intrigued.

You've NEVER seen the original Tron?

I think this is definate fanboy territory, but there's nothing wrong with that.

I think you should see the original before you see part deux. I'm just sayin'.

That's whatI'm afraid of. Maybe I'll go check out the original once these days. I'll have more than enough time to spend at home the coming month...

The young-Bridges in the trailer looks creepy... Not sure if the trailer is just half-completed or that's how he's going to look in the film.

I definitely suggest checking out the original. On a side note, when's the last time any of you heard from Steven Lisberger? Cinematical had a pretty cool interview with him about all the changes from Tron to Tron: Legacy Check it out: http://www.cinematical.com/2010/08/04/tron-creator-steven-lisberger-interview/

The original ruled. Please don't make this suck.

Oh, and your video games could use an update, too.

Also, DM... I'm all about using social media for marketing, I'm glad to see some of the bigger players starting to explore their options. I hope we'll hear from you about other future Disney offerings as well, perhaps still in a less overt manner.

Perhaps, since you're clearly in the know, you could start threads in this particular forum for future Disney offerings, and then when you have additional information to share for those films you could update the original post in the thread. After all, we are all here because we love movies, and I think you'll find that we are very receptive to getting access to info, just less so if we feel it is being force-fed to us.

Also, be prepared for criticism. Hopefully you're interested in feedback of all types.
