It will be cool if they really do follow the Knightfall comic story. Of course then there are story arcs with Azrael, who took Bats place for awhile, then the fight between he and Batman once some recovery had taken place.
...unless something better's on TV

They can't do that in a single movie even if they ignore the following arcs. The story is too long and features way too many of Batman's enemies. For the same reason they won't be able to make a movie out of the Hush storyline and follow the orignal arc.

Don't worry, give it 6 months and it will be 're-imagined' and they'll do it then, probably with Zac Efron as Batman the college years

The whole Kightfall (or was it Knight's End) story arc was all I actually was discussing for this film as a possibility, with Bane being the optimal character to include, since he's the one that cripples Batman. The mention of Azrael and Batman's return was more in regard to additional film(s) that Nolan has no plan to make.

While Cracked isn't exactly a trustworthy source, I do like the theory they've got regarding DKR/Nolan: link
Come play with us, Danny. Forever and ever and ever.

Anyone else seen the opening bit before Mission Impossible? I don't wanna be the only one... but it was freaking awesome, and Bane is gonna be an absolute monster

Well, I didn't see it before MI, but yeah, I seen it. Looks pretty awesome. i wanted to keep my expectations down on this, but everything I see gets me back up again.

I'm not sure why they used the word "Even" in the headline, but the attached clip was mildly amusing.

Even Conan O'Brien Makes Fun of Bane's Dialogue
Robin: "Gosh, Batman, is there anything you don't know?"
Batman: "Oh yes, Robin. Several things, in fact."

so was just watching the latest trailer......why is it that Gotham, that used to resemble Chicago, now resembles NYC (or was the scene with the bridges blowing up not Gotham because they certainly looked like the B-M-W bridges to me)?
Happy Halloween!
