Really, Hollywood? Already?
And the whole written and directed by someone whose previous works include absolutely NOTHING I've ever seen or heard of (minues Cloverfield in the heard of dept) isn't helping.

You can't really expect Americans to embrace a movie where the whole thing is spoken in foreign, can you?

It's embarressing, I have mates who won't watch the Girl with the Dragon Tattoo as Fincher is about to remake it... sad state of affairs

Not happy. Not that the original is great, but it's a fun guilty pleasure.

Let us never talk of this again. Seriously, it's not worth our time. Unless someone gets killed by a helicopter on the set or something.

50 upcoming remakes

Even I think some of these are just pointless

At last the remake I have been waiting for! - The existing Phantom Tollbooth could really do with updating to attract the audience it was/is intended for also same story with Heavy Metal, the trailor for True Grit looks good but hey its the Coen brothers.

WTF! - I think John Carpenters "The Thing" and the first "Robocop" with its social commentary (in the form of adverts) are some of the best films I have ever seen. "Battle Royal" and "Escape from New York" are awesome as they are and I am not a Warriors fan but I know a few people will think its sacrilege to try and do a remake of it. Remaking Akira and Arthur, well I just cant see the remakes being anything like the originals.

Not bothered- I liked Dune including the TV version and would not mind watching a remake, The only Mad Max i liked was the second one and I did not see anything wrong with Child's Play as is but they are re doing all the horror films nowadays and I am indifferent to it.

Heard about that. Apparently part of the reason for the Glee episode was that Ryan Murphy is angling for the director's job.

I completely don't get it. A lot of remakes I'm not thrilled about, but I can understand why the studios think they'd be good things to update. With this one, I have a hard time understanding the thought process.

It's a shitty movie that's only good because of the audience participation... Taking current budgets, different actors and different deliveries will make us realize how horrible this script actually is...

Can anyone else see Russell Brand going for one or multiple parts? Maybe Katy Perry showing up as well...
