So, if you haven't seen these, then you might not be aware that nobody really has any idea WTH is up with these trailers.

They came out of the blue, and nobody seems to have heard anything at all about this movie supposedly scheduled for release this summer.

There are things which seem like glaring red flags indicating a hoax.
- Nobody heard a darn thing about it until these dropped.
- The imdb page is slim.
- It's Danny McBride, so...

There are also things which make it seem legit.
- Rimfire films is the company which did the first Crocodile Dundees.
- The trailers and website are incredibly elaborate for a hoax.

Reference sites:
https://dundeemovie.com/
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt7895824/?ref_=fn_tt_tt_7

I'm going ahead and posting this in case it is real.

Some interesting and/or plausible theories I've heard...
- It's a prelude to a Super Bowl commercial stunt for Mountain Dew.
- It's some sort of weird teaser for a Tropic Thunder 2.

I guess we'll wait and see.

On a personal note, I'm kinda hoping this turns out to be real.

I know that the third one was somewhat disappointing, but that can be overlooked.

There have been plenty of quadrilogies where the third film in the franchise hadn't been up to par with the preceding films, but then the fourth one blows your mind with awesomeness.
Examples:
- Christopher Reed Superman
- Keaton/Clooney/Kilmer Batman

You are being facetious, right? The fourth Batman flick was the Joel Schumacher/George Clooney with batnipples tragedy. Also, the fourth Superman film was Superman IV: The Quest for Peace, which was even worse than turd one in the series with Richard Pryor.

You of all people should know that the Clooney Batman is the most accurate portrayal to date. That's not to mention having a far superior Bane to Hardy's portrayal.

On top of that, Superman IV probably has the greatest performance that Gene Hackman has given in his entire career.

Wow, I had totally forgotten there had been three of these. I have no memory of watching the third one, but I ranked it on IMDb.

I'm loving the TK/Batman argument. That is some golden age filmwising there. We need more!

You may have missed it when it was released as it came out the same time as Freddie Got Fingered.

Oh, and there's this bit of news on the movie:
Spoiler
http://www.smh.com.au/entertainment/movies/crocodile-dundee-reboot-outed-as-advertising-campaign-for-tourism-australia-20180124-h0nlmz.html

It looks like it is a Super Bowl gimmick for Australia tourism.

Maybe we can have another Grindhouse/Machete situations where the trailer is so popular they make the film.

I had the same thought, actually.

As a side note, apparently Machete is really a spin-off of Spy Kids.
