The Eternal Sunshine Challenge!
The results are in! Thanks to all of you good folks who participated here. You all rule! As you can see, we had three people who turned in perfect scores of 54, so a tie-breaker is indeed needed.
FINAL RESULTS
The tiebreaker image appeared at 48:45 in Fast Times at Ridgemont High, so AlottaFagina is our official winner, with a guess of 50:03.Actually, both Alotta and Smithee guessed 45:00 at first (beating the hell out of JG's 9:59 guess), so I made them re-guess and Alotta's beat Smithee's new guess of 59:59.
In the random department, Jelloman was the lucky name drawn from the FilmWise hat, so he too will receive a copy of the DVD. Congrats!
So there, that's it! Woo hoooo! Thanks again to all of you for entering, with many of you entering just for the fun of it and to help out your neighborhood Boyz. You're all the coolest!

The Challenge
Okay, I kinda went a bit nuts here. There was such a good response, and so many of you gave a little extra (or a LOT extra), that I wanted to make it worth your while. I went with a Sex, Drugs and Rock & Roll theme (although it has nothing to do with Eternal Sunshine). There are 24 images (1 point each, 24 points possible) and 3 long sounds containing a total of 30 movies (1 point each, 30 points possible). So there's a total of 54 points possible.
PM or email me your answers. You may re-submit answers, but
I'll only look at the last submission you send.
I think that's all I need to say, but post any questions and I'll answer them. I'll be gone next weekend, and because of that,
the deadline is midnight PST Sunday (10/10) night. At midnight, I'll post the answers, and I'll post all of the scores and winners on Monday. With that, here goes...
Images
There are 24 images and each one is worth 1 point. Pretty straightforward.
Sex (8 images, 1 point each)
Answers: crazy/beautiful; Pulp Fiction; High Fidelity; Showgirls; 9 1/2 Weeks; The Postman Always Rings Twice; Titanic; The Crying Game
Drugs (8 images, 1 point each)
Answers: Thirteen; Starsky & Hutch; Wonderland; The Hours; The Cider House Rules; Misery; Traffic; Drugstore Cowboy
Rock & Roll (8 images, 1 point each)
Answers: Love Actually; This Is Spinal Tap; Say Anything; Rock Star; The Kids Are Alright; The Last Waltz; Sling Blade; Welcome to the Dollhouse
Sounds
There are 3 sounds, but each one contains 9 to 11 points for a total possible 30 points.
Do not worry about order within each sound, as several movies are repeated throughout each sound. Just list each movie once. In your submission, simply put "Sex" and list the movies you recognize (or guess). However, for you sneaky, clever folks out there, you may only guess up to the number of movies (listed in parentheses) for each sound. For instance, since there are 11 sounds for the Sex category, I'll only look at the first 11 movies you list underthat category if you go over. (Is that clear?)
Oh, and if you have any problems hearing the sounds, please let me know, and we'll find a way to get them to you.
Sex (11 movies, 1 point each)
