DVD Bargains

#1 Post by snotball » 08 Jan 2005, 00:44

I thought of putting up this sticky, in which we can inform each other about any interesting DVD sales or bargains out there.

I'll start with this 2 movies for $15 deal on Amazon. There are some nice titles there, from which I'll probably pick up the two Leone movies.

Feel free to add to this sticky.

This is a great deal, but where did you find it the actual link on the Amazon.com page, Snotty?
I am trying to find the "equivalent" deal on the Canadian site (amazon.ca) with no luck so far....

I found it on some other site that had a link to this page. By the way, I don't think you have to buy them in pairs, as you're not restricted from picking only one item.

Thanks anyway...I didn't know you could search amazon.ca by price! I plugged in DVDs under $10 CDN (about $8 USD) and I got 4981 results! Then I narrowed it to ones under $10 but with commentary and I got only 12 results

Play.com offering BOGOF on a decent range for only £9.99 (yes that's just £5 each) including Woody Allens, lots of 'classics' and more.

Also an extensive range in the 'normal' 3 for £20 offer.
Lionel Hutz, aka Miguel Sanchez, aka Dr. Nguyen van Thoc, was paid $8 for his 32 hours of babysitting.

He was glad to get it.

They have an international site too at playusa.com. I've never tried them so have no idea where they would ship or what prices are like, but check it out.

Not much different other than adding the States to their list.

There's a large collection of TV series Box Sets (stuff like 24, CSI, West Wing, Sopranos, Alias, etc.), but also some excellent 'Other' Box Sets for great value, including some everyone should own:

The Indiana Jones Trilogy £23.97
The Back to the Future Trilogy £13.97
The Pink Panther Film Collection £28.97
The Godfather Trilogy £28.97
The Marx Brothers Collection £15.97
The Die Hard Trilogy £17.97

And many others.

Just keep in mind that some of them (of the 3 For £15) are not the 2-disc editions.

Thanks for the heads up, but the one in question is the SE. The box is different, plus I clicked to check :D

I just bought Not Another Teen Movie at Target for 5 bucks...I believe that movie is underrated. I never actually feel like watching it but whenever I start it, I just keep laughing and watching
I'd rather have thirty minutes of wonderful than a lifetime of nothing special....
- guess the movie ;)
