Man, they totally missed an opportunity to call this The "What's in the box?" Edition.

While the prospect of a "What's-in-the-Box Box" for Se7en makes me laugh, the actual new named-by-quotes editions make me cringe a tiny bit inside every time I see them (e.g., Bueller ... Bueller ... Edition, "Don't Call Me Shirley!" Edition, etc.) (Needless to say I own at least one of these ...)

Jimothy wrote:
Well they have the next edition to do that.... why waste an oppurtunity for another repackaging with two new featurettes?

Good point.

And, thanks to Media Play near me closing, these all cost me fifty dollars.

How much did they give you to take Ocean's Twelve? I don't think it would have been enough for me.

O12 was for Karen. We went to see it in the theater and had Ryan (then about 10 months or so?) with us, but it was the first movie that he really was not in good spirits for. Karen ended up missing about 3/4 of the movie so I got this for her as a stocking stuffer. I think I paid 9.95 for it.

We have a history with the Oceans, too. When I heard they were remaking the movie, I forced Karen to watch the original on DVD, which she despised. Months later, when the remake was released, I picked it for a movie to go see and while the prospect of Brad Pitt/George Clooney had been enough to get her interested in seeing the remake, when we were going, she somehow mentally crossed the movie with Blackhawk Down and was geared to hate O11 because she didn't want to see a war movie.

Anyway, Oceans Eleven has become one of those movies that gets watched whenever it is on as we're flipping through channels. I bought her the movie on DVD last year and now with O12 we have a complete set. Go us!

I don't know how your conscience allows you to sleep at night (and most of the day, you bum.) After all your posturing, all your speeches, you're nothing but a common thief.

Since I don't feel like looking up the pictures, I'll just give you guys a list.

Live Aid
Ghost Dog
Ran: Criterion Collection
Stray Dog: Criterion Collection
The Bad Sleep Well: Criterion Collection

Seriously, I am spending way too much on DVDs. So, this will be my last post in this thread at least until March, when Capote comes out.

CH cancelled this one cause their supplier is all out :balrog:
Image

Mom got me two Double Feature DVDs for V-day
Edward G. Robinson in The Stranger (7.48 on imdb) and Scarlet Street (7.75)
Image

Don't know the link: My Man Godfrey (8.1) / Life with Father (7.4)
Image

Have barely heard of these films but they're pretty well reviewed on imdb... It's just kinda sad that these were obviously from the bargain bargain bin from some store, but it's the thought that counts... Now, to figure out their respective spots alphabetically :s
