Thought this might be a decent idea. There are many goldmines on netflix, but might be overlooked. So maybe in this thread, we can share what's available on netflix and recommend it to each other.

It has Party Down*, which is another awesome and hilarious show that was horribly cut short. There are only two seasons, but I don't think there was a bad episode in the batch.

Also, their selection of SNL is beyond terrible. They're not full episodes, with the musical performances removed (except for the first five seasons, I think) and a large number of sketches edited out. Hell, I think they had episodes that were butchered so badly they were only ten minutes long. Ridiculous.

I'm down. This is actually where I've been watching firefly and burn notice recently. Love tv shows on Netflix!

Me too. I'd call it a guilty pleasure except I don't feel all that guilty. I've been watching In Plain Sight (which somehow I missed when it started). It's how I watched 30 Rock. Also catching up on a bunch of MST3K (altho their selection at any given moment can be iffy). I've also become strangely addicted to Satisfaction, which is a Showtime Australia show about s brothel (and it isn't that good, but I seem to be all about renderings of sex workers in various media these days) And also Shaun the Sheep (not sbout a brothel :) )

For those of you who haven't watched The League, I highly recommend you check out seasons 1-2 available now, especially Mr. McGiblets.

I've been enjoying Ken Burns' Baseball

(Also: this thread is great place to be using hyperlinks, though I have no interest in links to anything anyone has already mentioned ... since I've seen them all (and they're excellent).)

:green: Even if you don't like sports, Nick Kroll is reason enough to watch.

I've been with The League from the start. And yes, even for a 31-year-old Swedish female with zero interest in fantasy sports, this show is hilarious.

Oh, and I'll submit the first gripe about Netflix streaming (in this thread). I was 7-8 episodes into the Dead Like Me series when the removed it from the streaming service. It took an episode or two to get going, but I really liked it. Now I'm bummed that I can't finish the series out and watch the movie. Yeah, the movie is still available, but it's just not the same.

Archer had among the best pilot episodes of all time ("just the tip") and is in fact totally freakin' hilarious.

Still one of my favorite shows (and Dibs) ... so happy that it's back for season 3 as of last week!

Agreed with everybody here about Archer. But be careful... you're in the Daaaaanger Zone.

A guy I was somewhere between friends and acquaintances with in high school was one of the editors of Season 1 http://www.imdb.com/name/nm1558405/

He was also heavily involved with the pretty hilarious Saul of the Mole Men

Ahhh..... now I see where they got the inspiration for their Season 2 promos!
Maybe we should take this to the Archer thread?

There is no greater show in the history of all television than Sports Night.

(Nonetheless, I'd still love a special-edition DVD set that removes the laugh track. It does get less prominent throughout the first season, eventually disappearing in season two ... but still. FWIW, the laugh track was apparently vehemently opposed by Sorkin.)
